🏡 Considering an air source heat pump? Now could be a good time to get your installation plans underway.

📰 The Guardian has reported that the Government is considering changes to funding for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), which currently helps homeowners with the cost of installing low-carbon heating systems.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, it’s worth getting ahead if you’ve already been thinking about making the switch.

💷 Government grants of £7,500 are currently available for eligible air source heat pump installations, with funding of up to £9,000 for LPG and oil boilers.

At SGS Energy, we can help you plan your installation, understand your grant eligibility and get the process moving:

✅ Government funding of up to £9,000 for eligible properties
✅ Expert advice and tailored quotations
✅ MCS-certified installers
✅ Support with the BUS grant application process

Thinking of making the switch? Get ahead of the rush and start planning your heat pump installation today.

A lovely reason to stop by Abbott Construction today!

We visited Vivienne, their General Manager, to deliver her £50 Amazon voucher and a bunch of flowers after her business card was drawn in our competition at last week’s Kent Construction Expo.

Congratulations, Vivienne, and thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and entered the draw. It was great to meet you all!

Last Friday the SGS Energy team headed to Grove Ferry with Canoe Wild for a team-building afternoon out on the water. 🚣‍♂️

Plenty of laughs, some questionable steering, and everyone made it back to shore… mostly dry.

Same again next year? 👀

Thinking of replacing your oil or LPG heating?

Two changes announced yesterday could make an air source heat pump a more affordable option.

• The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is increasing from £7,500 to £9,000 for eligible homes.

• From 1 October 2026, electricity VAT is set to fall to 0%, helping reduce running costs even further.
