I will be at the Northumbria Lacemakers AGM this coming Saturday selling my range of beautiful bobbins and lace making tools. Northumbria Lacemakers are very kindly opening the event to non members to shop for bobbins and tools from 12-3pm.

They are an ebony spangled bobbin that has a micro glitter background that reflects a multitude of colours (not seen that well on the video, sorry) and three different designs all with the text 'Happy Christmas 2025"

The short thread stitch saver

A new tool that has been added to our range. This tool is perfect for when you are about to run out of thread with a few stitches to go. No need to wind more thread to the bobbin, just remove the remaining thread from the bobbin and clamp on the stitch saver to the thread via the small sprung clamp and finish your stitches. These tools also work brilliantly for broken threads, wire lace and metallic threads.

The handles are made of brightly coloured acrylic which is silky smooth, they fit in your hand perfectly and are a pleasure to use.

To all my wonderful Lacemaking customers

I have supplied so many of you with my hand painted bobbins over so many years, so beautifully hand painted by Claire and Sue. Unfortunately they have decided to stop painting now. I know this will be a massive disappointment for so many of you, as it is for me.
I very much wish them well as they move forward to other things in their lives. Their amazing artwork will be SO sadly missed, but, of course, will be ever present on so many lace pillows across the world.

I do still have one artist who paints the Autumn Leaves, Moonscapes and Iridescent sets so those sets are ongoing. Also, an artist who painted for me 10 years ago is very keen to start painting again and she has already started with some ideas, one of which is the Bayeux tapestry, the samples look great!

We have got other interested artists so are hopeful we can broaden our choice of painted bobbins over the coming months again, but these will be new sets and we will not be trying to replicate any sets that we’ve supplied before.

We continue to have an array of engraved, silver, plain and coloured bobbins as well as many different acrylic handled tools. All of which can be purchase via my online shop and at lace events.

I am very much still trading and look forward to seeing you at a lace fair or lace day soon.
