🧱 An exciting opportunity has opened to join the Works Department as an Apprentice Stonemason.

This one-year apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working within the Cathedral’s skilled masonry team, helping to conserve one of England’s most iconic historic buildings. The successful candidate will gain a CITB-recognised NVQ Level 3 equivalent qualification, validated by the University of Gloucestershire.

Lisi Ashbridge, Letter Carver & Designer - Teaching at Highgrove ⚒️🌟

25-27th April & 27-29th June

It is really exciting to continue to teach letter carving at the Kings's Foundation at Highgrove Craft Centre for individuals with a range of abilities, from their Foundation Diploma course students, to visiting stone masons from abroad, to the public who might just want to have a go or develop their letter carving skills.

From her studio near Marlborough, Wiltshire UK, Lisi Ashbridge uses only a pencil, chisel and mallet to hand design and hand cut letters for both unique and personal garden and home art, memorials, headstones and stones for special occasions.

Are you joining us on April 1st?

Yes, it’s a Tuesday! 👀 Eagle eyed followers have noticed that the 1st this year falls on a Tuesday which is usually a day we are closed. But following in tradition and wanting to open on the 1st of April as we do most years, we are opening on a Tuesday!

We would really love to have as many people as possible join us for the opening and to celebrate a new year with us. 🌟
