£500,000 of School Improvement Contract Work Delivered for Compliancy!

A fantastic achievement for Decibel Fire & Security, securing school improvement contracts worth £0.5 million through the Department for Education’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) for two schools in Swindon.

Over the summer holidays, our teams completed an extensive programme of essential fire and safety works across both schools, including:

🔥 Installation of 76 new fire doors
🚨 Fire alarm system additions
💡 Installation of new emergency lighting

Most importantly, every project was completed on time, minimising disruption ahead of the new school term.

We’re delighted that both clients are extremely happy with the finished works, with both schools left safe, compliant and ready for the new academic year.

A huge well done to everyone involved in delivering these projects. Another great example of the quality, professionalism and commitment that goes into every Decibel project.

Following our sold-out Golf Day at Brickhampton Court last week, Decibel Fire & Security is delighted to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended and supported the event, we raised an amazing £3,500 for the THE CHAMWELL CENTRE CHARITY

We're proud to support this outstanding charity, which provides a unique facility in Gloucester, helping children, young people and adults from across Gloucestershire overcome disability and achieve their full potential.

A huge thank you to everyone featured in these photos, along with our sponsors, players and supporters, for making the day such a success.

What an amazing day we had at our Charity Golf Day at Brickhampton Court

On behalf of everyone at Decibel Fire & Security, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to play, sponsor, donate, volunteer and support the event in aid of The Chamwell Centre Charity.

The day was filled with great golf, plenty of laughs, fantastic company and, most importantly, everyone coming together to support an incredible local charity.

The BBQ was absolutely fantastic and was the perfect way to round off the day, while Mark Walby Music kept everyone entertained with brilliant live music throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere was incredible, and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves long after the golf had finished.

We’re still finalising the total amount raised and can’t wait to share the final figure with you soon. Whatever the total, it’s only been possible thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

This week we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Archie to Decibel Fire & Security for his work experience.

Over the past few days, Archie has been out with our engineers, gaining first-hand experience of the fire and security industry, learning about CCTV, fire alarms, access control and intruder systems. It’s been great to see his enthusiasm, willingness to learn and confidence grow throughout the week.

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an Operations Manager to join the team at Decibel Fire & Security in Gloucester.

This role is ideal for someone with experience managing field-based engineering teams, scheduling engineers, planning workloads, and coordinating resources across service contracts and installation projects.

The role will involve:

✅ Planning and scheduling engineer workloads

✅ Managing resources across maintenance contracts and installation projects

✅ Coordinating service, reactive and installation works

✅ Supporting engineers and helping keep projects on track

✅ Working closely with customers and the management team

✅ Driving efficiency and maintaining high levels of customer service

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, a strong communicator, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
