A slightly different fleet update…

My wee boy Lewis is 4 and absolutely obsessed with the Cars films. He’s got all the characters, so I thought it was only right that Dad’s vans joined the gang!

Usually I’m happy if the vans are clean and fuelled up. Turns out all they were missing was a pair of eyes and a big smile 😂

Running a business keeps you busy, but there’s always time for a bit of magic for your wee boy. This one’s for you, Lewis ❤️

🎉 1 YEAR IN BUSINESS! 🎉

Today marks one full year of R.Lumsden Electrical Ltd — and what a first year it’s been.

When we started the business, the aim was simple: provide a reliable, professional electrical service and build a reputation we could be proud of.

12 months later, the business has grown more than we could have imagined.

We’ve taken on projects ranging from small domestic repairs and consumer unit upgrades through to full refurbishments, EV charging, commercial work and some fantastic lighting projects. We’ve also grown the team, invested back into the business and continued developing the services we can offer.

Most importantly, we’ve built up an amazing customer base across the Lothians and Edinburgh, with so much of our work now coming from recommendations, repeat customers and the local trades and businesses we work alongside.

A massive thank you to every customer who has trusted us with their home, property or business over the past year. Thank you as well to everyone who has recommended us, shared our posts, left reviews or simply passed our name on to someone else — it genuinely makes a huge difference to a small business.

And of course, a big thank you to Harry, Mark and Heather for everything they’ve done behind the scenes and out on the tools to help us get to where we are.

Year one has been about getting established, building relationships and finding our feet.

Now onto Year Two. ⚡️

Delighted to share the finished lighting refurbishment at The Glen Golf Club in North Berwick ⛳💡

We’ve redesigned and installed the clubhouse lighting, with a mix of downlights, wall lights and feature lighting to give the spaces a fresh look. The project also included upgrades to the emergency and escape lighting.

A lot of work went into this one, and we’re really pleased with how it’s turned out. Thanks to everyone at The Glen for having us!

Work is officially underway at The Glen Golf Club 💡⛳️

We’re upgrading the clubhouse lighting to create a softer, warmer and much more controllable atmosphere—better suited to everything from everyday dining to parties and special events.

The project also includes improvements to the emergency escape lighting, as the existing provision was inadequate for the building’s requirements.

As the clubhouse is staying operational, we’ve provided full RAMS and created a detailed programme of works around the catering team’s existing bookings.

We’re looking forward to showing you the transformation as the project progresses!
