This is not a conservatory, a loft conversion or a glass-fronted extension. It is a normal bedroom in a normal Lancashire home — and trying to sleep in this temperature is miserable.

To everyone who has called, emailed or messaged Lancashire Air Conditioning over the past week: I am genuinely sorry if you have not received a reply.

In just seven days, we have received:

📞 350 telephone calls
📧 245 emails and messages
🔥 Almost 600 enquiries in one week

There is only one person answering all of them: me.

Please understand that nobody is being deliberately ignored. I know that many of you are exhausted, uncomfortable and desperate to make your bedrooms bearable. I also know how frustrating it is when you contact a business and do not hear back.

The honest truth is that we cannot supply and install air conditioning immediately during this hot spell. Our available installation capacity has already been filled, and I do not want to make promises that we cannot keep.

We could continue accepting every enquiry, tell everyone what they want to hear and create an impossible backlog. But that would not be honest, and it would not allow us to provide the standard of work our customers expect.

We are not interested in rushing installations, lowering our standards or fitting unsuitable systems simply because demand is high.

Our promise is not that we will always be the fastest.

Our promise is that, when we carry out your installation, we will take the time to design it properly, install it carefully and provide a system that you can rely on for years.

So, if you are struggling now, I am truly sorry that we cannot solve the problem immediately.

But please remember this feeling.

📅 Contact us later in the year — during the autumn or winter — and we will be very happy to help you prepare properly before the next hot spell arrives.

That gives us time to assess your home, recommend the correct system, plan a clean installation and complete the work without the panic and pressure created by a heatwave.

If you have already contacted us, please do not feel that you need to send the same enquiry repeatedly. I am working through as many messages as humanly possible, but the volume has been extraordinary.

We’ve installed over 500 units now. Most are still under warranty. This week we’ve had 5 call-outs. That’s very low given how hot it’s been and how many units we’ve installed.

All of these call-outs reduced our ability to sell new units in the heatwave, all cost us in terms of parts and labour. Every single one was attended to free of charge:- Why? Because we honour our promises! If you choose a premium unit from an established firm, you shouldn’t have to suffer because the unit needs attention.

As members of the Lancashire County Council Safe Trader scheme we take our responsibility to our customers seriously.

We’re not the cheapest, we are not available tomorrow, but we are very good at what we do and if for any reason your units don’t behave as we’d expect we take responsibility and we fix it. Even if it costs us time and money. It’s the right thing to do and it’s what we do.

Some months ago we were contacted by a firm that worked for British Gas asking us to install for them.

Their terms were awful and we couldn’t agree to install units in the way they wanted.

Now! Curry’s are selling BG Air con installs which are arranged by a third party company and installed by a smaller local installer and you the customer are paying for all these middle men and markups.

This unit is available direct from us for over £500 less and is installed properly and to the best of our ability by fully trained local installers.
