𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.

This image shows one of our engineers carrying out a turbidity test during a boiler change, using a purpose-made GOS test kit developed to support consistency, quality control and clear evidence on every installation.

The kit brings together testing for pH, turbidity and inhibitor levels, helping us confirm the condition of the system water and demonstrate that the installation has been completed to the required standard.

We have rolled this kit out across the company to give every engineer the same structured process, supporting:
• Consistent testing across all boiler changes
• Evidence for manufacturer warranty requirements
• Improved quality control
• Clearer customer reassurance and awareness
• Records uploaded directly through our CRM system

It is a simple but important part of how we protect the boiler, support long term performance and give customers confidence in the work carried out by GOS Services.

England are back in action tonight against Ghana, and after a strong start, plenty of homes across Preston and the North West will be looking forward to settling in for the match.

For us, it’s a good reminder of the little things that make a home feel ready. Hot water working, heating behaving itself, electrics safe, and no last-minute leak appearing just before kick-off.

GOS Services were proud to support the Penwortham Gala procession on Saturday 13th June.

As the incumbent plumbing, heating, gas and electrical contractor for South Ribble Borough Council, we were delighted to give something back to the local community by providing one of our pickup trucks for the Riverside District Guiding group float. Our float driver for the day was our very own Director, Alex Jackson, who was especially proud to be involved in such a well loved local event. Alex said:

“I’m a Penwortham lad and have taken great pride over the years in watching the Gala procession, with lots of fond memories of the event. This year was very special for me, as both my sister and I were part of the Girlguiding and Scouts groups growing up. It was fantastic to be involved, especially with my daughter, who started Rainbows last year.”

A brilliant day, a fantastic community event, and a privilege for GOS Services to play a small part in it.

Back on 14th May, members of the GOS team took part in the Bolton Abbey charity walk organised by Housing 21’s Asset Management Team.

The walk was held in memory of much-missed colleagues Tim David and Richard Hall, while also raising money for two important charities, St Luke’s Hospice, Plymouth and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Peter Jackson, Janet Jackson, Craig Tilley, Kerry Lang and Kieran Leaman were proud to represent GOS on the Yorkshire route around Bolton Abbey and Simon’s Seat. Plenty of hills, plenty of steps and thankfully some good weather along the way too.

Events like this are a reminder that it’s not always just about the day job. It’s about supporting people, coming together and giving something back where we can.

A big thank you to Housing 21 for organising such a meaningful event and to everyone who took part.

Our van pulled up to another home early in the morning, ready for a boiler installation.

It might look like a simple arrival, but for us it means showing up properly. Over 56 years serving Preston and the North West, and always treating someone’s home with respect.
