🐱 Looks like somebody approves of their new cat flap!

We fitted this microchip cat flap for a local customer, giving their cat the freedom to come and go while helping to keep unwanted neighbourhood cats out 🐾

Restricted window hinges fitted this morning 🔧

Our customer wanted to make the upstairs window safer and prevent her young daughter from being able to open it too far.

We replaced the existing hinges with restricted window hinges, which limit how far the window can open while still allowing ventilation. The restriction can be released by an adult when necessary.

We fit and replace window hinges, locks, handles and mechanisms throughout Leyland, Preston, Chorley and the surrounding areas.

🚪 Is your front or back door getting harder to lock? Don’t ignore it…

We’ve been replacing a huge number of failed UPVC and composite door gearboxes over the last few weeks.

Most customers tell us the same thing… “It’s been a bit stiff for a while, but I just kept putting up with it.” Then the warmer weather arrives, the door expands slightly, and that’s when the gearbox finally gives up.

The worst part? 😬 Many of these have failed with the door locked shut, meaning we’ve had to gain entry before we could even start the repair.

If your handle is getting stiff, the key is becoming harder to turn, or you have to lift the handle more than usual, it’s worth getting it checked sooner rather than later. A simple adjustment or service now could save you the cost and hassle of a full gearbox replacement.

✨ Another transformation completed in Leyland last week! ✨

These failed double glazed units had become misted and were spoiling the look of the property. We replaced them with brand-new clear, energy-efficient units, making a huge difference straight away. 👌

☀️ Got a window stuck shut in this weather? 🥵

We’ve just been out to this one after the window mechanism completely failed in the closed position.

We managed to gain entry without damaging the window, then fitted a new mechanism and handle — all back working and opening properly again 🙌

🐱 Another happy cat and another happy customer! 🐾

We recently fitted a new cat flap, and to help keep the cost down we replaced the existing double glazed unit with a made-to-measure UPVC panel instead. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a more cost-effective installation.

With the warm weather, a lot of us have our doors open anyway, so a cat flap might not be top of the list right now. But when the temperatures drop and you want to keep the heat in, you’ll be glad your cat can come and go without you constantly opening the door! 🚪

Thank god that’s the week done! 🥵

This heat has definitely put us to the test this week… I think the van’s started melting! 😂
