Povall Pest & Vermin Control

24/09/2026

Great collaborating between Povall Pest & Vermin Control and Heron Pest Solutions today at a night club in Blackpool.
Feral Pigeons had been nesting in a rooftop service room and entering 3 upstairs rooms in the nightclub causing extensive health and safety problems due to guano deposits alongside several pigeon carcasses being present.
All 3 rooms were stripped out, all guano deposits cleaned and a biocide treatment applied so the areas were safe for workmen to continue refurbishment.
All ingress points to the rooms were proofed to prevent any further ingress.
All Feral Pigeons located in the rooftop room were humanely evicted without any need for loss of life and the room proofed to prevent their return.
Very successful project carried out with our usual high level of professionalism!!!

After a planned birds nest removal, that also required a wasp nest treatment and ultimately a sewer investigation for evidence of rodent ingress that was a quite diverse job for Povall Pest & Vermin Control. All taken in our professional stride and a lovely tip for a job well done!!!

⚠️ Don’t Risk Treating a Wasp Nest Yourself ⚠️

Every summer, we attend properties where a simple wasp nest has become a dangerous situation because someone tried to deal with it themselves.

Disturbing an active nest can cause hundreds or even thousands of wasps to defend their colony. Multiple stings can be extremely painful and, for some people, even a single sting can trigger a serious allergic reaction requiring emergency medical treatment.

Many people choose to wait, hoping the problem will simply disappear. While wasp nests naturally die out in autumn, they continue to grow throughout the summer, often reaching several thousand wasps before the colony collapses. If the nest is close to your home, garden, workplace or anywhere people are likely to come into contact with it, early treatment is usually the safest option.

❌ Don’t spray household products.
❌ Don’t block the entrance.
❌ Don’t knock the nest down.
❌ Don’t use fire or boiling water.
❌ Don’t climb ladders to reach high-level nests.

At Povall Pest and Vermin Control we’re committed to protecting your family, your pets and your property with safe, professional wasp nest treatments.

Don’t DIY. Treat early. Stay safe.
