A couple of smart looking gate sets we fitted before Christmas, driven by CAME in ground motors and controlled by fobs but with the main set of gates also controlled via a CDVI intercom kit which can either be code entered or remotely opened via the in house handset or from the customers phone with two way audio. We also fitted a pair of hold open switches for when constant opening and closing the gates becomes a pain in a situation such as having work carried out or expecting a load of people for a party.

A small electric gate install we carried out in the last of the sunshine we’ve had! A CAME system opened via key fobs or the keypad! Get in contact if you’d like to save getting wet having to open the gate this winter!

Something a bit different this week, the old shed doors had seen better days and even more so after they had a run in with the tractor due to the opening being too tight for size so we stripped it off and made the main opening bigger and boarded off the other as the customer never used it and wanted it more secure, finding a happy medium of being enough to sort the main issue without breaking the bank and ending up with a whole new shed!

Nice Starlink installation to start the week off this week! Bringing an internet connection to a dead zone for internet via both hardwired broadband or 4G masts. Also installed a couple of wireless access points throughout the thick stone walled property to spread wi-fi to all rooms of the house as well as adding an external one so the customer can have use of wi-fi throughout the garden and patio area!
If starlink is something you’ve thought about or have any questions on please feel free to give us a call!

Nice little 3 camera system for the local Presteigne Bowling Social Club that started this week off! Using Dahua 8mp ip infra red cameras mounted on additional wall mounts, relayed back to a 4 channel NVR, set up using a monitor then integrated onto their app so you can watch live, recorded footage and get pinged when a camera is triggered, can then either go monitor-less to save room and just use the app or have a monitor also! Brilliant picture quality from these!

Two of the many light fittings we put up today! Always checking with the customers if they’re happy with the heights and layouts first time around! Not the sort of lights you want to be doing 2-3 times over!

Here’s a job we did from back in March for Castle Hill Joinery - Ludlow Ltd! A 51kW array consisting of 120 425w trina solar panels supplying a 40kW 3 phase solis string inverter! With electric prices going up over the past few years running a joinery workshop hasn’t been the most economical for them so with this system generating around 70kW on a bad day through to 340kW on a good day and averaging around the 200kW a day has accumulated them a whopping 11.216MWh of solar energy already in 68 days of the system being up and running!

This was also teamed up with a full led lighting upgrade lowering their usage further as well as bringing the lighting levels up to a lot higher standard for the job!

We also fitted a wireless access point in the workshop to get rid of the lack of phone reception in the unit itself and installed a speaker system connected up to an internet radio unit with Bluetooth connectivity also!

Have a child that’s Marvel mad but are sick of walking around switching the battery lights on and off? Or just never actually changing the batteries when they’re flat? How about converting them to mains powered? Where you can just turn them on and off via the main light switch (Center light can also be kept on a second switch) and also have a more effective looking brighter feature light!

We started the solo journey off with this 8,200kw solar array in Presteigne, using 20 demeg 410w all black panels attached via seam clamps and rail kept this install very sleek and low profile to the roof keeping in with the rest of the building (we’re waiting for a nice spell while being there to spray the ends of the rails in black!)

Inside the plant room we coupled the panels up to a Sollis 6kW hybrid inverter joined to two Dyness 10kWh battery’s giving them a total of 20kWh’s of storage, this has helped massively cut their electric bill by well over half, with only just signing up to Octopus energy’s flux tariff with three hours cheap rate at night to charge up the battery’s to use in the day, any additional generated power the next day will go back to the grid at more than what they paid for the night before.

As an edition this week we have added a solar iboost immersion controller so that any excess generation will get dumped into the hot water tank via the immersion to save the heatpump kicking in to do so for an extra saving! As an idea of generation values this system is currently averaging at least 15-20kW a day but most half decent days it’s achieving 30-40kW, when installed at the very start of February it was even managing to average around 6-10kW a day then! But during the dull winter months it’s backed up by the cheap night tariff and battery’s!
