During the Oak Lea Farm renovation project, we faced an unexpected issue.

We discovered the roof rafters were rotten and all needed to be replaced.

This happened during unfavourable weather but there was no time to waste.

We communicated this to our client about the challenges we were facing.

The team at A.R.N. worked quickly and efficiently to resolve the issue as fast as possible.

In no time, the team installed the new roof, added new insulation and avoided any major future structural issues.

We believe in open and honest communication in these circumstances. To get the problem solved fast and keep our clients informed along the way of their house renovation.

Welcome to The Running Pump

A beloved former pub in Catforth is ready for its next chapter.

Although this project was previously abandoned, we've taken on the challenge of transforming this derelict building into 4 new homes.

Not everything goes perfectly during a renovation — and we think it’s important to be open about that.

Our clients were living in the house while the work was happening, so the last thing they wanted was to feel left in the dark when a problem came up.

Big or small, we talked things through, had the difficult conversations when we needed to and worked out the next step together.

As our client puts it, no matter what came up, every problem felt solvable.

That’s exactly how we want our clients to feel throughout a build.

A renovation comes with a lot of decisions — and we don’t expect our clients to have all the answers.

Throughout Oak Lee Farm, we talked through different options and costs so our clients could decide what worked best for them and their budget.

We also brought in trusted partners, including the team at BCAE Interiors, to help with the design and bring everything together.

Having everyone communicating and working towards the same goal made the whole process that little bit easier.

One renovation, three very different answers!

We asked our clients "What's your favourite part of your new home?". This is how they answered.

For the kids, it’s the new pantry — or as they call it, “snack heaven”.

For Dad, it’s being able to open the bi-folds and have the kitchen flow straight out onto the new patio and garden.

And for Mum, it’s the little sitting area beside the bi-folds. No TV, a bit of peace away from the kids... but not so far away that she feels disconnected from everyone.

It’s always nice hearing which parts of a renovation actually make the biggest difference once a family starts living in it.
