A real “pinch me” moment…🧡

Over the weekend we received these photos from our recent company photo shoot and we are absolutely over the moon with how they came out!😁

To think that this business started with just myself, some old tools and a bog standard van all at the young age of 22 years old, fast forward nearly 6 years later and here we all are!🥲

Year on year SM Electrical Services has gone from strength to strength and it’s nothing more than being honest, being organised and doing great work, that’s it.

There’s been no foul play, no handouts, it’s just been us getting up every morning and trying to be better than we were yesterday.

There’s no way we would be where we are without everyone that has trusted us to work in their properties so thank you to each and everyone of you that have used us and then referred us to family and friends, your support means the world to us!🫶

Well that wasn’t meant to happen!😣🫣

Unfortunately for the first time ever, one of our vans broke down while we were in the middle of our working day.😳

This particular van still had three jobs to complete, all for clients that had been waiting two weeks for us to attend due to how busy we have been and not only that, our work had to be done in order for others to complete their work.🫠

So what did we do?

I always say “it’s not what happens but what you do about it” so within the hour the van was on a trailer heading to the garage to be repaired and another van had been hired so the guys could complete all their jobs and our van was repaired and picked up at 7:00pm that same day.🥂🍾

Ok we took a knock financially that day but the most important thing was our customers were looked after and served well, that’s our focus at all time as without you lovely people there would be no vans to repair!

HOW OLD!?😳

These are without a doubt the oldest consumer units with have had to upgrade, these are original to when the property was built so we are talking around late 1950’s!🫣

Our client moved into this property over 50 years ago and has never touched the electrics but unfortunately they had a fire in their kitchen that was caused by some extremely dangerous electrical connections under the floor.🔥⚠️

Everyone is safe which is the important thing but the sad thing is that this could have been avoided if the electrical installation was checked every 5 years and a new consumer unit was installed as this would have detected most issues, especially the deadly ones.😵

What’s even worse is the clients home insurer are refusing to pay out because they are classing this as blatant “neglect” and “lack of care” to the electrical installation meaning the client has to foot the bill for the whole repair.😣

If you know that yours, your friends or family’s consumer unit is old and could do with being inspected and possibly replaced then make sure you act on it, whether it is with us or someone else it does not matter just be safe and get it done as everything works fine until it doesn’t!

How good does this look!?😍🧡

It’s moments like this that are pinch me moments as SM Electrical Services started out with just me, my old tools and an old van, to then have an amazing truck which is already incredible milestone to achieve for us in itself but to then top it off with this unbelievable design wrapped around it, I’m just lost for words!🤩

There is no way you can miss this on the roads now so feel free to give us a beep and wave when you see us around.🙂👋

A big thanks to the guys that made this possible, the truck was designed by Cos Pierides of Pierides Creative and then perfectly executing that design was Charlie and his team from Signarama Enfield.👏

Good afternoon, one and all!👋☀️

Last night a client WhatsApp’d me this photo of some of the guys along with the following words….

“I absolutely love these guys, they have been amazing, thank you so much”

Unfortunately the client had been ripped off by another electrician and we were hired to rectify all of the shoddy work that was done and do all the work that wasn’t done.🫣

As you would expect this client was very cautious and untrusting at first due to their negative last encounter with the previous electrician so to receive this photo and message was such a brilliant feeling and way to end the day!😁

I truly believe this is one of the biggest factors as to why we are so busy because we are just normal people who are honest and trustworthy who will treat you exactly how we would expect to be treated.🤝

Good morning, everyone!👋

I hope you’re all enjoying the gorgeous weather.🌞☀️

Here is one of our favourite pieces of work.😍

This was a newly installed kitchen which the client decided afterwards that they would like lighting installed.🫣

This meant we had to install all these lights and all the cables that go with them without causing any damage to the clients lovely new kitchen!🤯

Well, as you can see from the photo we managed to do it and there was not one spec of damage, on top of this we installed a wireless switching system allowing the client to turn it on exactly like a normal light switch which meant no damage to ceilings or walls either.🤓

Good morning, everyone!👋

I hope you all have been enjoying the sunshine this week.🌞☀️

Some of you may or may not know who we are but I’m Spencer and my company is SM Electrical Services, we carry out any and all domestic electrical work.👷‍♂️⚡️

Using the first photo I thought it would be a good idea to introduce you all to the team……..

Far right of the photo we have we Luca who is one of our fully qualified electricians and stands at 6’ 5” so he doesn’t need a ladder most of the time when changing bulbs 🤣🪜

Middle right of the photo we have Luke who is our most senior apprentice and very soon to be a fully qualified electrician.🪛💡

Middle of the photo we have myself, Spencer, I started the company when is was just 22 years old and 6 years later it has grown to what you see today.📈

Middle left of the photo we have Daniel who is another one of our fully qualified electricians, Dan is the man when it comes to cover coming complex problems.🧐💭

Far left of the photo we have Andreas who is another one of our fully qualified electricians, Andreas was the very first employee of the company, starting over 5 years ago when he was just 16 years of age.👦

Finally, we have Qenan who is our newest apprentice who has yet be involved in the photoshoots but you’ll see him soon enough!📸

How about this for a garden?😍

This is a recent garden lighting project that we completed last week and what a beauty it is!💡

This clients garden is their sanctuary and they wanted to add to the look and feel of the space but without damaging any of their gorgeous greenery.🌳🌷

We were able to install over 200 metres of cable and over 40 lights without damaging a thing and without seeing any cabling whatsoever, on top of that the clients are also able to control all the lights from inside their home using wireless switching which meant again there was no damage or seen cabling!🤓🤌
