Extensions and transformation of a typical 1930s English suburban home. So many houses along the street have been ‘whitewashed’ but here we want to celebrate the use of brick and tie it back in to the original architecture and suburban aesthetic. Sandstone render provides breaks between the windows and frames the elements, with the rear having proportionate piers, each detailed with various red clay brick patterns, thus embodying the craft. New windows have bronze frames complimenting the depth of the colour palette. The frontage retains the synonymous 1930s appearance with a pronounced bay window, with subtle upgrades to bring this family home into the 21st Century.
