Another Portishead project completed by Abode Brickwork & Construction 🧱

A challenging project that required careful planning and experience from start to finish. With the complexity involved, it wasn’t a job everyone was keen to take on, but we were confident in our team and the end result speaks for itself.

Complete gable demolition, removal of blown-in cavity insulation, increased cavity size and full brickwork rebuild. New cavity batts and wall ties retrofitted throughout, alongside alterations to the roof, fascia and soffits to accommodate the increased cavity.

Finished with new patio and landscaping works to complete the transformation.

A great result for a very happy client 🧱

This retaining wall was badly deteriorated and leaning heavily, with another harsh winter likely to bring it down. The client had previously been told it could cost tens of thousands to put right.

We found a much more practical solution pulling back the garden, carefully taking the wall down by precision and, after checking the existing foundations were still in good condition, rebuilding directly from them.

The new wall is now complete and finished with brick on edge, saving the client a significant amount of unnecessary cost.

Precision Carpentry & Construction will now complete the French drain and level the garden ready for final handover.

Problem solved, money saved and a very happy client. 👌
