Sorry for the long post. Could all of my followers and friends share this far and wide.
It has come to my attention that Connor Elliott has been using my name and accreditations to gain work.
Connor used to run Conlec Electrical but has shut that down and now apparently operates as 230 Electrical.
Just over 2 years ago I did some landlord testing for Connor and he has been using those certificates to tell potential customers that I am his supervisor and I will sign off his work. I didn't get paid for this work and took Connor to small claims and won, I even sent the court baillifs and he managed to avoid them for long enough that they gave up. So now I am out of pocket nearly £3k and this cretin is still using my name to scam people.
To the best of my knowledge Connor is not a qualified electrician as he has not passed his final exams (in fact he isn't even an apprentice as his time to complete the exam has run out), now this doesn't stop him undertaking work but he is not in a position to sign anything off himself and I certainly won't be doing it.
All of this has come up because I was contacted this morning by somebody that Connor has managed to take nearly £10k off without completing the work. He had used my name and test certificates to put her mind at ease but also refused for her to contact me to verify it. Once his lies started to unravel she tracked me down.
To be clear - Connor Elliott has nothing to do with me and I will not be touching any of his work. He does talk a very good game but sooner or later gets found out.
I am putting this out because I have worked very hard to build my reputation and I don't want to see people being scammed for poor workmanship.
