Did you know there is a treatment window for Japanese knotw**d?
If you have had yours treated before late August, it was probably too early.
The best time is after the flowering stage and at least 2 weeks before the first frost.
Unfortunately many companies spread out visits through the summer to keep their staff busy but it is counterproductive and can result in the plant becoming resistant to herbicides and requiring far longer management to bring under control.

We don't do that. We understand how crucial timing for treatment is.

It's not too late to get a management plan in place with us.

Invasive w**ds, whilst typically observed and dealt with during the summer months, do have all year round solutions.
Our first site of the year involves remediation of a Horsetail infestation in Wishaw. The site boundary has been protected with a suitable root barrier membrane to ensure no damage to future footpaths and driveways on this council housing development.
Prevention is always better than the cure!

Onto our next job in Johnstone at Cartside Mill.
A 2000m2 area of Japanese knotw**d to be excavated with hand picking of the worst of the rhizomes and a 5-year treatment plan on the area after completely breaking up the root network.
We have saved our client a 6 figure sum for disposal costs whilst ensuring no further spread and lasting results.
