🤝 Great conversations today. Exciting projects ahead!

Another productive day for WestWood, catching up with Lorenzo Polonio at the ALB offices over lunch to discuss the finer details of a couple of exciting projects set to get underway in the coming months. 💚

Getting together ahead of work starting is always time well spent. It’s an opportunity to share ideas, work through the technical details and make sure everything is moving in the right direction before the teams get to work on site.

And when you’ve got strong working relationships in place, those conversations become even more valuable.

A big thank you to Lorenzo for the warm hospitality and, as always, the continued collaboration.

Great to catch up, Lorenzo! We’re looking forward to seeing these projects take shape over the coming months. 👏💚

👏 Three achievements. One fantastic day for the DLC team!

A brilliant day of recognition and progression for DLC, with three members of the team taking their liquid waterproofing skills to the next level! 💚

A huge congratulations to Steve Dawson, who has achieved his Black Card, alongside Brad Johnson and Joe Babb, who have both successfully progressed to Green Card status. 🎉

It’s fantastic to see installers continuing to develop their skills, build their expertise and raise standards across the liquid waterproofing industry.

And for Steve, there’s an extra reason to celebrate!

💬 Steve said:

“Although I’m happy to gain my Black Card status, I’m even more thrilled for my two lads to gain their Green Card skills status. It just shows how well the younger generation are coming to grips with liquid applied waterproofing.”

With Steve already looking ahead to seeing Brad and Joe achieve their Black Cards next year, there's certainly plenty of ambition in this team! 💪

At WestWood, we love seeing experienced installers leading by example and supporting the next generation of waterproofing professionals.

Congratulations to all three of you! A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved recognition for your hard work and commitment.

Keep raising the bar, lads! 👏💚

🏗️ Smart detailing. Seamless protection. Built to last.

Another quality installation from Ron at Lead-Craft, this time delivering a purpose-built gutter solution on a new-build project. 👏💚

Designed to receive water from the adjoining pitched roofs, the gutter directs drainage efficiently towards the sumped outlet - with the waterproofing and detailing playing a crucial role in its long-term performance.

A full WestWood specification was developed for the project, allowing the completed system to qualify for a comprehensive insurance-backed warranty and giving the client added confidence in the finished installation.

The full Wecryl build-up, incorporating 130mm insulation, was completed with a smooth resin finish - creating a seamless, robust solution with the quality of finish to match.

Great detailing, excellent workmanship and another fantastic result from Ron and the Leadcraft team. 👌💚

🏗️ That’s a wrap in Leicester!

Another WestWood-specified project successfully completed, this time by the team at Premier Roofing and Construction. 👏💚

Rather than stripping out the existing single-ply membrane, the roof was overlaid with the new WestWood system - providing an efficient refurbishment solution while keeping disruption to a minimum.

Crucially, the approach meant the offices below could remain operational throughout the works, without exposing the building to unnecessary risk of water ingress.

No unnecessary strip-out. Minimal disruption. Seamless waterproof protection.

A smart approach to refurbishment and another quality installation from the Premier Roofing and Construction team. Fantastic work! 👏

🐾 Meet Stan - the man of many talents!

There’s a new face at WestWood HQ, and it’s safe to say he’s already making quite the impression. 💚

Meet Stanley, the newest - and possibly fluffiest - member of the WestWood team!

Whether he’s supervising from the office, keeping morale high or simply making sure everyone stays on task, Stan is proving that no role is beyond his capabilities. 🐶

He’s settled into WestWood life remarkably quickly… although we suspect productivity may take a slight dip whenever he’s around! 😂

Welcome to the team, Stan - we think you’re going to fit in just fine. 👏🐾

🏫 Smart refurbishment. Less waste. Long-term protection.

Another section of this ongoing school project is now complete, with WestWood Wecryl used to overlay the existing roof in line with our specification. 💚

Rather than stripping out and replacing the existing system, Peak Safety Ltd was able to overlay the roof - delivering a durable, high-performance waterproofing solution while helping to reduce waste and the project’s carbon footprint.

New GRP perimeter trims complete the installation, creating a clean, sharp finish that looks just as good from ground level as it does on the roof. 👌

A great example of how the right refurbishment approach can combine performance, sustainability and attention to detail.

Fantastic work from the Peak Safety team - and another quality section of this project complete! 👏💚

🏡 Three roof areas. One seamless waterproofing solution.

WestWood’s Wecryl system was selected for this impressive new rear extension, bringing consistent, high-performance waterproofing across three very different roof areas. 💚

The main roof also serves as a balcony, so waterproofing alone wasn’t enough. WestWood 333 self-levelling mortar was applied with quartz sand cast into the curing surface to create a durable, slip-resistant finish, before being completed with a WestWood Sealer Coat.

The same Wecryl waterproofing technology was then used across the garage and orangery roofs above the kitchen - creating seamless, reliable protection throughout the extension.

One system. Three applications. A consistent finish designed to perform.

Fantastic workmanship from Orchard Developments, delivering another quality installation from start to finish. 👏💚

👏 A huge congratulations to Paul Olding from Southeast Flat Roofing, who has officially gained his Black Card! 🖤

Paul’s consistent hard work, commitment and quality across his projects haven’t gone unnoticed, and this achievement is thoroughly deserved.

It’s always fantastic to see skilled installers continuing to develop, raise standards and earn recognition for the work they put in day after day. 💚

Congratulations, Paul - a brilliant achievement. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏
