A great result today for the transformation of this existing bungalow, set within a beautiful, substantial plot.
The proposals significantly extend and rework the existing house, creating a much more generous contemporary home while retaining the low-profile character that suits its setting. A series of pitched forms, dark timber cladding, natural stone and large areas of glazing help break down the scale and create a strong connection between the new living spaces and the garden.
We’ve kept the material palette deliberately simple and warm, with the aim of creating something that feels quietly contemporary, relaxed and rooted within the landscape.
Really pleased to see this one receive planning permission — and looking forward to the next stage.
