Improving fire safety and homes at Meneage Parc 🏡

Our team are delivering a year-long programme of fire safety and refurbishment works at Meneage Parc, also known as Meneage House, in Helston, Cornwall.

This converted 19th-century workhouse and former hospital is now home to 30 flats across three floors, owned and managed by LiveWest.

The programme began with fire stopping and compartmentation works to address breaches throughout the building, alongside replacement fire doors, new carpets and internal redecoration.

The scope has since expanded to include:
🔹 Refurbishment of multiple flats, with new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and redecoration
🔹 A new fire alarm system
🔹 Structural repairs to damaged floors within flats

With our integrated teams covering fire safety, refurbishment and maintenance, our partners benefit from a wide range of services through one experienced delivery partner. As project requirements evolve, we can bring together the right skills to deliver additional works and keep everything coordinated.

Our team on the ground are getting stuck in, improving this beautiful property and working to make it safe and compliant for residents and our client, LiveWest.

Reminder: Social Housing EICR Deadline - 1 November 2026

If you manage social housing stock, this one's for you.

The Electrical Safety Standards regulations, previously limited to private rented tenancies, have now been extended to cover the social rented sector.

By 1 November 2026, every existing social housing tenancy must have a valid Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) on record - regardless of the tenant's move-in date or how long the property has been under management.

Any tenancy still live on that date without a current EICR is an active compliance gap, not a task to defer.
