It was a pleasure to donate some woodworking tools to Stepway which are intended for future workshops at in Powick, Worcester.

As a warm and welcoming community hub, the LINK will empower veterans and members of the community interested in woodworking, enabling them to acquire new skills.

Jefferies has donated a surplus PC to in Powick. This small contribution will empower their office operations while also promoting sustainability by repurposing our IT equipment. By providing this computer, we hope to alleviate the costs associated with purchasing a new one.

LINK Nurseries will support mental wellbeing through horticultural therapy, different craft groups, and other activities. There is also a community farm shop and a cafe on site.

Going forward, STEPWAY will expand the support services to include and build on the existing support groups, therapies, and group sessions, creating a joined-up approach to community wellbeing.

Dawn Turner, CEO of Stepway, said: ‘We will not only be supporting veterans and family members but the whole community too. This is what STEPWAY is all about: breaking down the barriers between veterans and civilians by providing a sense of belonging, purpose and promoting inclusion for all."

Menopause Awareness Coffee Morning.
The Green Hub, Gresham Road, Worcester, WR2 5QS

During our Menopause Awareness Coffee Morning today, women had the opportunity to access valuable information and chat with others in their community. They learned about coping strategies, shared personal experiences,
and gained insights into managing menopause.

By fostering an environment of open dialogue, women left feeling better equipped to navigate this important life stage.

All of the leftover leaflets and information sheets were given to Stepway to be used at future coffee mornings at LINK Nurseries in Powick.

Thanks to the Menopause Support Network for all of the downloadable resources.

Community Day at Bilton Infant School

The Bilton Infant School community came together on Saturday, May 18th, for a remarkable Day.
Families, staff, and volunteers dedicated their time and effort to make this event truly memorable.

Despite a few remaining sections, the school’s fence received a fresh coat of paint, brightening up the
entire school grounds, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) corridor was beautifully repainted,
creating a welcoming and vibrant space for the children.

The Head Teacher commented:
"A special thank you to one of our Governors for arranging for Jefferies Contractors Ltd
to donate 50 litres of paint! That has saved the school a lot of money, so I am really grateful.”

Matt Jones and Sarah Morley from our Midlands office visited Stepway Worcester Veterans HUB for their Banter and Brew session on Tuesday, June 4th.

The Veterans HUB is based at the Salvation Army in Worcester and provides support services to the veteran community.

Banter and Brew is held every first Tuesday of the month from 10am-2pm and offers free refreshments and support to veterans and their families. It’s a great opportunity for them to just pull up a chair, join in with friendly banter and catch up with friends.

It was lovely to see such a hive of activity and the group was very welcoming. Thank you to all the staff from Stepway for telling us about the exciting developments going forward, and hopefully we can assist in some way.

The Foodbank is dedicated to eradicating hunger and recently, our office has been actively participating in a Food Drive, collecting essential items from the Lichfield Foodbank list.

Lichfield Foodbank steps in during crises, providing nutritionally balanced emergency food and support for up to three days to local individuals in need. As part of a nationwide network of Foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, they work tirelessly to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

This is something that we’ll definitely continue to help with as we believe that no one in our community should endure hunger.
