We received a phone call from this client to come out, take a look, and rectify this 3-story HSL in Medburn, as it was left in a mess by a previous decorator.
The owners of the home had another company in a couple of months before us, but they weren't happy with the finish. There was paint left underneath the oak handrails and newel post caps, and paint splatters on the oak stair treads and carpet.
Wall color was all over the ceilings, spindles, architraves, and skirting boards, with white still showing through.
So, we first went about breaking down the paint that was left on the surfaces, then gave them a good clean and removed it. The previous finish was awful.
(Photos are attached of what it was left like at the back of the finished product so please keep scrolling to see 👀 )
All the carpets were protected using carpet roll. All the handrails, caps, and floor were fully protected and taped to ensure the clean surfaces would remain that way.
The whole area was then fully dustlessly sanded to remove runs and heavy brush and roller marks.
Everything remained the same colour scheme .
Ceilings were finished in Albany AF1 ceiling paint from Brewers. It leaves a uniform finish with zero flashing.
Walls were finished in Farrow & Ball Wevet No. 273, mixed in Johnstone's Cleanable Matt.
The client wanted a matt finish on all woodwork, spindles, and paneling. It was previously finished in matt but felt rough to the touch, so we used Johnstone's Aqua Guard Durable Matt, giving the client the matt finish but leaving a smooth feel to it all, like a traditional wood finish. Great product 👌
The color on all woodwork was Farrow & Ball Ammonite No. 274.
The client is delighted! 😀
Another happy client ☺️
