Where the journey began. .. As two 18 year olds with no clue what to do. We applied for a plumbing course along with 100s of others. We was interviewed by Le Moigne BA (hons) luckily who gave us an opportunity to start our careers.

Just a massive thank you to Martin who believed in us and gave us that chance and for all the hours in the classroom his style of teaching made us stick with it.

Upton travelled away to Adwick

and started the game strongly, playing some excellent football. They kept the pressure on from the first whistle, but the Adwick goalkeeper produced several superb saves to keep Upton out. Isla created some brilliant chances, and Kiera unleashed a bullet of a strike that somehow the keeper managed to stop. Maizy went close too with a fantastic effort that skimmed the bar.

Chance after chance came for Upton, but it was beginning to feel like one of those days where nothing would fall their way.

Half-time: 0–0

The second half saw Adwick grow into the game, creating chances of their own, but Amelia responded with some outstanding saves to keep the score level. Eventually, Adwick broke the deadlock when a corner deflected off a Upton defender and into the net.

With 15 minutes to go, Upton threw everything—including the kitchen sink—at the Adwick goal. Despite the pressure, Adwick managed to double their lead.

A late strike from Summer smashed into the net to bring the score to 2–1, but unfortunately it wasn’t quite enough.

Despite the result, the football Upton played was brilliant throughout—they just couldn’t convert their chances.

Full-Time: Upton 4 – 0 Retford

Upton welcomed Retford once again and got off to a lightning start — scoring inside the first 90 seconds! Bella picked up the ball and threaded a superb defence-splitting pass through to Willow, who made no mistake, smashing home the opener.

Moments later, Upton doubled their lead when a cross from Ruby somehow found its way into the net via an own goal. 2–0 Upton, and the home side were flying.

Upton continued to press, creating chance after chance. Willow, Ruby, Isla, and Libby all came close, while Maizy struck a powerful effort from distance. Retford’s goalkeeper was kept extremely busy, pulling off several excellent saves to keep her side in the game.

We will just forgot about Maizy’s penalty 🤦🏼‍♂️

The second half started much like the first, with Upton dominating possession and piling on the pressure. The visiting keeper continued to frustrate the hosts — until Upton’s persistence finally paid off. Great defending from Lilly and Maizy set Isla free with space to play in Ruby, who broke through the lines and fired in Upton’s well-deserved third goal.

The fourth and final goal came right at the death. With the Upton keeper — a spectator for most of the game — watching on, Ruby whipped in a fine cross to the back post where Libby was waiting to tap home and seal a 4–0 victory.

There was some fantastic football on display once again. Kiera was solid as ever at the back, organising the team and leading by example — a real captain’s performance.

• Willow: Led the line brilliantly, chased everything down, and got her reward with a goal. On another day, she could easily have had a hat-trick!
• Libby: A tireless performance up and down the wing — strong in attack and defence, and topped it off with a goal.

Upton 11 – Worksop 0

What a morning down at the Pavilion! An early kick-off didn’t slow the girls down one bit, as Upton came flying out the blocks and had their first shot on target just 79 seconds into the game. From that moment on, it was all Upton.

The chances kept coming, and it wasn’t long before Maizy lifted a ball over the top for Isla, who raced clear, squared it perfectly for Ruby, and she made no mistake — 1–0. That goal opened the floodgates. Ruby quickly doubled the lead with a classy finish before grabbing her hat-trick in style, another brilliant strike that left the keeper with no chance.

Ruby wasn’t just scoring them, though — she turned provider for Willow, bursting down the wing before cutting it back for the simplest of tap-ins. Summer was unlucky to smash the crossbar, but soon got her reward with a thunderous strike to make it 5–0.

Confidence was flowing and Summer added her second with a cool finish, before completing her hat-trick with a cracking volley from Ruby’s corner — what a goal! Courtney then got herself on the scoresheet with a smart finish, before Worksop had the chance to pull one back from the penalty spot. Amelia stood tall, though, and the visitors fired over.

Maizy wrapped up a sensational first half with a low, drilled finish to make it 9–0 at the break.

The second half saw a few changes, with Poppy leading the line. She worked her socks off and was unlucky not to score — her effort and energy really stood out. The goals slowed down a bit, but Upton’s quality didn’t. Courtney grabbed her second of the day with a cheeky lob from wide, before Bella smashed home the final goal to round off a brilliant team performance.

The girls were outstanding from front to back, showing teamwork, skill, and bags of determination.

A friendly against our under 11’s gave us a nice run out today.

We started well on the attack and Isla and ruby went close to breaking the deadlock.

Then Isla had a shot that the keeper tipped onto the cross bar, Ruby followed up and finished it off but was incorrectly judged off side.

Isla then had a carbon copy shot that the keeper couldn’t handed this time. 1-0 to us.

We created several more chances before half time but couldn’t convert any.

We started the 2nd half just like the first on the front foot and carved out more opportunities. Ruby this time getting one tipped onto the bar by the keeper from a strong shot.

More chances came and went and then summer went on a bursting 60 yard run and smashed a shot against the post that fell to surrayah who applied a nice first time finish.

2-0

Shout out to the back three and keeper today. A nice clean sheet with Kiera out today.

Game of two halves today.
⚫️🔴⚫️🔴⚫️🔴⚫️🔴⚫️

The first half saw us totally in control and going in at half time 2-0.

Seren opened the scoring with a thunder bolt from outside the area that smacked in of the post.

After some good play Isla looped a left foot cross over that surrayah came powering onto to make the net buldge with a great header.

They came out fighting in the second half and too the lead.

To be fair we pleyed the better football and created a lot of chances but we just couldn’t force the equaliser.
