We’re delighted to have reached Practical Completion on our latest project for Lancing College, creating a new nursery space at Little Lancing, ready to welcome children for the new term.

Working within a prestigious educational setting, the project was delivered mostly during the school holidays, giving our team a tight programme to work to and ensuring the new nursery was ready for the start of term.

It’s fantastic to see the finished result and to add another successful education project to our growing portfolio across Sussex.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in delivering the project. 👏

The most important part of a construction project often happens before work even begins.

When renovating an older or historic property, careful planning, thorough investigation and experienced project management can make all the difference.

Our work at Warbill-in-Tun in Warbleton is a great example. During the conversion of this historic pub into a family home, we uncovered unexpected challenges including a section of the building without foundations and additional asbestos that hadn’t been identified in the initial surveys.

By working closely with the client, structural engineer and specialist contractors, we were able to adapt the programme, develop practical solutions and protect the building’s historic character all while keeping the project moving.

The result? A beautiful, energy-efficient family home that celebrates its history and was later Highly Commended at the 2025 SUSSEX HERITAGE TRUST Awards and featured in Grand Designs magazine.

It’s a reminder that successful renovation isn’t just about what happens on site. It’s about planning for the unexpected, communicating clearly and having the experience to find the right solution when challenges arise.

We're making excellent progress on the new nursery development at Lancing College, with the project continuing to take shape on programme.

Every stage is being delivered with the care and attention to detail that this prestigious setting deserves, ensuring the finished space will provide a safe, inspiring and welcoming environment for future generations of children.

It's always rewarding to see a project move from drawings to reality, and we will share more project photos in a few weeks time.

We are delighted to be handing over this lovely cottage in Meads village this week.

Following a full refurbishment, our teams have revitalised the cottage with bold colour schemes and colour drenching techniques, bringing warmth, personality, and a greater sense of space to every room.

Most importantly, our clients are thrilled with their new home. Seeing their vision brought to life and knowing they now have a stylish, comfortable space to enjoy makes all the hard work worthwhile for our team.

Is the lowest price really the best value?

Too often, construction tenders are judged on one number alone: the price. But choosing a contractor based solely on cost can increase risk, reduce long-term value, and ultimately lead to more expensive projects.

In our latest blog, we explore why procurement should focus on experience, collaboration, quality and certainty of delivery and not just the lowest bid. We also look at how Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) can help improve project outcomes from the very beginning.
