A welcome break in the weather allowed us to make good progress on our external maintenance works this afternoon.

A productive morning in the air.
Our DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise drone has been capturing high resolution imagery to create a detailed 3D model of the building, enabling us to assess its condition with greater accuracy and detail.
Combining traditional surveying expertise with the latest drone technology allows us to safely inspect difficult to access areas and provide our clients with accurate, informed recommendations, supported by a detailed 3D digital model of the building's condition.

We had an interesting distraction from filming static buildings on Tuesday, when Julia Johnson of Fine Marketing asked for some photo and drone video footage of the PS Waverley boat coming into Newhaven in the morning, from Eastbourne and onwards to the Isle of Wight. On behalf of Newhaven Port & Properties Limited

PS Waverley is, according to their web page the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer. A beautiful boat with a distinctive paddle boat noise as it came in and out of the harbour. There were perfect conditions for filming the boat with a drone. Clear skies, almost still with no wind and as flat as a pancake on the water. We took the drone off from the eastern arm of the port, and so was able to track the boat as it headed out into open water and picked up speed.

Seasonal reminder to inspect your gutters and rainwater pipes.
Standing water, debris build up and misaligned falls are common causes of overflow and damp related defects. Regular maintenance keeps the system performing and protects the building fabric.
