Looking forward to what they achieve with The Athenaem theatre a great venue for bands, local drama groups and community events. Glad to see it coming back to life and history being preserved. Some really good news today for commercial landlords, what was going to be a struggle to get a lot of properties to a C by 2030 may have now changed. Under a revised proposal 1000 sqm or more to meet a B by 2031 where cost effective, below 1000 sqm will continue to be subject to the current rating of an E. The Government will publish its formal response in due course.

Some of you may have met Jasmine but she’s mainly working from home taking your calls and emails, and making sure our assessors know where they are supposed to be. Jasmine is the voice behind the phone calls, booking in jobs, dealing with complaints, and more demanding, dealing with her husband Mick.
As an artist, in her spare time Jasmine likes to paint and go for sunny walks to sketch her inspiration. Spending time with her pets, often seen on Tech Surveys page and her family.

Here’s the lovely Jacqui, who a lot of you will already know as she has been working in the energy industry for the many years, and for many years Jacqui’s number has been top of the list to give to clients we couldn’t get to in time, so it seemed obvious to work together to ease the work load. Jacqui has 18 years of experience in the housing industry, specialising mainly In Domestic EPC's, but also Commercial EPC's, -floor Plans and is Retro Fit qualified.
Jacqui has a banking background, working for 20 years, initially for the Bristol & West, then latterly the Bank of Ireland as a Business Development Manager covering the South West for the processing of residential mortgages.
when Jacqui isn't working she is usually driving to and watching her Son's football matches.

Rio joined Tech Surveys in June 2025, where he received training by Mick on domestic EPCs, LRAs, and floorplans.
Since then, Rio has passed his course and is now a qualified assessor, which has lead to him now taking on a number of new properties to help grow the business.

When Rio isn’t working, he enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, he also enjoys playing snooker with a pint of cider.

Here he is, the boss! After running Tech Surveys practically solo for 14 years being booked up weeks in advance, he’s found the perfect balance branching out and starting Ocean City EPC to run aside Tech Surveys. This has made his life easier already, using Mick as our main commercial assessor, picking up domestic when needed or if he’s specifically requested. Leaving Rio and Jacqui (Ocean City EPC) to concentrate on the domestic EPCs. Nothing has really changed for our lovely clients apart from it is now easier to get an appointment as we have 3 assessor to cover Devon & Cornwall. More meet the teams to follow! He takes part in various networking events, offering free advice and updates on the housing industry.
