🌿 ANOTHER EXCITING GARDEN TRANSFORMATION IN THE PIPELINE!

We've been busy planning this fantastic garden renovation, combining traditional natural stone with a clean, contemporary finish.

Our proposed design includes beautiful Rockriven natural grey limestone paving, extended walkways, decorative tree borders and a complete artificial lawn transformation.

With approximately 51m² of new limestone paving and 80m² of premium artificial grass, this project will completely refresh the outdoor space.

🏡 MORE PROJECTS COMPLETED & ANOTHER TRANSFORMATION UNDERWAY! 🚧💪

It's been another busy few weeks for the team at Trade Bank, with some fantastic progress across our landscaping and construction projects in Plymouth!

✅ Porcelain Patios Completed

Two stunning porcelain patio installations, each bringing something different to the gardens.

From sleek, contemporary grey porcelain to decorative patterned paving, both projects have been carefully prepared and installed to create attractive, practical outdoor spaces that will stand the test of time.

🧱 Bespoke Red Brick Wall Construction

Alongside the paving works, we've also completed a beautifully finished red brick wall, carefully built to complement the existing property and surrounding brickwork.

A great example of how traditional bricklaying and modern landscaping can work together to transform an outdoor space.

🚜 NEW PROJECT UNDERWAY – PLYMPTON!

And we're straight into the next one!

Our latest garden transformation has officially started in Plympton, with the machinery on site and major excavation works underway.

We're stripping things right back, removing the existing ground and preparing the foundations for a completely redesigned outdoor space.

As with all our projects, the work that goes beneath the finished surface is every bit as important as what you eventually see on top.

Busy Few weeks getting stuck into some smaller projects.

- Revisit on Sungates to get the decking and fencing ready for winter with oil treatment and a fresh cut and lawn treatment package. Please scroll back through page to see how this has really transformed over the last few months.

- 15 sqm Porcelain in Plympton which has proved a good challenge, shellet hand dig combined with rear bucket access hasn't been for the faint hearted. A couple of chips let us get a first hand glimpse at the effectiveness of priming the backs, good job we got them up while they were green.
Finish pics to follow post grouting, boarder details and a dust off of the teraline gun.

- Another super porcelain and brick work project kicking off in Staddiscombe. We've been called in to help this job come to reality and pick up from where it was left off.

LIPSON ROAD — CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE

What started as a challenging front elevation has become one of our most ambitious and rewarding projects to date.

This was far more than a landscaping job — it was a major structural and engineering undertaking, with substantial retaining walls, difficult levels and considerable logistical challenges working alongside a public footpath.

The structure was built from the ground up on substantial concrete footings, incorporating 18-inch retaining walls to the upper elevation and 9-inch construction to the lower footpath wall, creating the platform for the finished scheme.

The upper terrace has been completed using beautiful Yorkstone paving from www.westminsterstone.com laid in a traditional mixed-size pattern and finished with traditional pointing to complement the Victorian property.

Drainage was another crucial element. ACO channels have been seamlessly incorporated around the property and connected through renewed underground drainage to the existing Gatic chamber at footpath level, giving the entire terrace a properly managed drainage route.

At street level, reclaimed Stoke-on-Trent face brick and reclaimed granite cobbles from http://www.cawardenreclaim.co.uk/ encase the structural works, bringing the period character back into what is fundamentally a substantial piece of modern construction.

Every level, footing, wall, drainage run, brick, cobble and paving slab has been meticulously planned and executed to create something that feels as though it belongs with the property rather than simply being added to it.

The result is a transformation we're incredibly proud of — a true asset to this period property and a showcase of structural construction, traditional materials and craftsmanship.

And we're not quite finished…

Traditional iron railings are currently in fabrication and will be the icing on the cake.

From engineering and retaining structures through to the smallest finishing details — this is what Trade Bank is becoming all about.

Lipson Road — it’s all in the details.

The Yorkstone patio is really starting to come together, and today was all about getting those finishing details right.

Mortar gun pointing throughout, with dye added to achieve a colour match that complements the stone and keeps that traditional appearance we’re aiming for on this Victorian property.

We’ve also formed the ACO drainage seamlessly around the footprint of the building, following every transition and keeping the paving finish clean while ensuring water is properly managed away from the property.

This project has involved some serious groundwork, retaining structures and careful planning — now we’re getting to the stage where the craftsmanship in the smaller details starts bringing everything together.

Still more to come at Lipson Road, but what a transformation already.

Busy week starting on our Moorland road project and making great progress at Lipson Road.

Moorland Road - Over 60 tonne shifted ready to make way for a new double garage. Oversite and footings will be the focus in the week to come.

Lipson Road - Stunning Stoke on Trent reclaim victorian face brick combined with the truly exceptional Westminster Stone- Yorkstone slabs is making this very special project look a feel like we have been transported back to 1800. Traditional mortar pointing to follow along with period feature railings.
Work on the front elevation will see reclaim granting cobbles set.

Tidy makeover for this property in Beacon Park.

The full works on this one,

- Power and soft wash
- All pointing chased out and reinstated with a very satisfying jett black colour scheme.
- Patio sealed
- Walls powerwashed, stabilised and Painted
- Artificial Grass cleaned and power broomed.

Huge impact and a very impressive outdoor space ready to withstand the winter weather.

A handsome little makeover completed in Plympton 👌

Alongside our larger landscaping and construction projects, we’re still very much taking on the smaller transformations too — and this one shows just how much of a difference they can make.
Out with the tired old decking and artificial grass and in with a fresh, clean and much more usable garden.

🪚 Smooth side up decking — controversial, we know! But we love the clean, contemporary finish it’s given this one.

🌿 36m² of premium-grade artificial lawn, fully prepared and professionally installed.
🪵 A bespoke redwood Venetian-style balustrade finishes the raised deck beautifully, with wide timber steps creating a seamless transition down into the garden.

Not every project needs to be a huge build to create a huge transformation.
