🔧 New Tool Day at Innov8 Electrical! ⚡
Picked up the Armeg Board Cutter today, another great addition to the tool collection!
Anyone who's worked with solid chipboard flooring upstairs knows how much of a challenge lifting floorboards can be!
This bit of kit should make accessing cables beneath floors quicker, cleaner and far more efficient, with neat, precise cuts and less disruption to customers' homes.

⚡ EV CHARGER INSTALL COMPLETE ⚡

Another EV charger installation completed by Innov8 Electrical South West, this time using the Ohme ePod.

The Ohme ePod is a great charger — compact, smart and easy to use, with excellent app control and smart charging features to help customers make the most of cheaper off-peak electricity tariffs.

For this installation we fitted a dedicated EV circuit, installed the correct protection, ran EV Ultra cable with load monitoring via a CT clamp, and fully tested the installation on completion.

As with all of our EV installs, the work was completed to current regulations and the relevant electrical certification was issued.

🔥 NOW THIS IS A SERIOUS GARDEN ADDITION! 🔥

One of our favourite projects to date, and we couldn’t be happier with how this one has turned out! ⚡

We’ve recently completed the electrical installation for this incredible garden sauna, bringing together quality workmanship, specialist lighting and a seriously impressive finish.

The installation includes a dedicated 10mm² sauna supply, specialist sauna-rated LED strip lighting supplied by , fully dimmable remote-controlled lighting and a dedicated sauna control panel.

The result? A stunning space that looks just as impressive with the lights on as it does when they’re dimmed down for a relaxing evening. 👌

Projects like this are exactly why we love what we do. Taking something from the planning stages through to the final switch-on and seeing it all come together is what it’s all about.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this one happen. We’re incredibly proud to have played our part in bringing it to life.

⚡ KITCHEN UPGRADE COMPLETED ⚡
Another fantastic kitchen project completed by Innov8 Electrical South West! 👏
From the initial first fix through to the finishing touches, we’ve carried out a full electrical upgrade to bring this kitchen up to a modern standard.
The works included new and relocated sockets, upgraded LED downlights, alterations to the kitchen lighting and a brand-new consumer unit complete with individual RCBO protection and surge protection.
A huge difference from where we started, and another project we’re proud to put our name to!

⚡️ CONSUMER UNIT UPGRADE — NUMBER 8 THIS MONTH

Another property brought up to standard following an EICR.

The existing consumer unit had reached the point where an upgrade was the right way forward, so we’ve replaced it with a modern board offering individual RCBO protection and surge protection, along with a full test of the installation on completion.

That’s now 8 consumer unit upgrades completed this month alone — something we’re really proud of and a good reflection of how busy things have been at Innov8.

We don’t just swap a board and move on. We take pride in the finish, the testing, the labelling and making sure the installation is left safe, tidy and properly certified.

Started a new kitchen renovation this week and got all of the first fix completed. 🔧

As part of the project we’ve upgraded the old dual RCD consumer unit to a brand new 18th Edition metal consumer unit complete with individual RCBO protection and a Type 2 SPD, bringing the installation up to a much higher standard of safety and reliability.

Really pleased with how this one is coming together already.

It’s been a busy week at Innov8 Electrical South West with our fourth consumer unit upgrade completed, six quotations carried out, and three site visits to keep other projects moving in the right direction.

We don’t just turn up, do the job and leave. We take pride in keeping our customers informed, making sure every installation is completed properly, and delivering work we’d be happy to have in our own homes.

Just a mix of jobs from the last few weeks — consumer unit upgrades, rewires, fault finding, EICRs and everything in between. Every job gets the same level of care and attention, whether it’s a small repair or a full installation.

⚡ Fuseboard upgrade completed today ⚡

Our customer got in touch as they are currently selling their rental property and needed an EICR carried out before the sale completes.

During the inspection, we found a number of issues with the existing consumer unit, including compromised IP protection, an incorrectly installed busbar and Type AC RCDs supplying a large amount of modern equipment.

We replaced it with a new FuseBox consumer unit, fully labelled, neatly terminated and left ready for service.

We always try to look at the bigger picture with every job. It’s not just about changing a fuseboard or getting a certificate issued. It’s about giving the customer honest advice, doing the work properly and leaving them with peace of mind.

That’s something we genuinely care about.
