BAY WINDOW SHUTTERS 🪟🏡✨
Another lovely install completed this week and another happy customer 🙌🏻
We previously fitted bathroom shutters for this client and returned to fit these bespoke bay window shutters.
This one was a little more challenging with the ceiling not being square, but managed to finish them off nicely and they certainly make a real difference, both inside and out 👍🏻

ITS CRIMINAL TO HAVE STEAMED UP WINDOWS WITH A VIEW LIKE THIS 🌤️
Today’s first job for an existing client, replacing this blown patio door and restoring their beautiful view over the river 🪟🏡
Due to living so close to the water, the rollers on the door had corroded away as well, making the door very difficult to operate. New rollers fitted and a good service and this patio door has a new lease of life 🛠️
No need to replace the doors when you can save money and restore what you already have 💷👌🏼

We get this issue a fair bit and you’d be surprised how easy it is to fix 🛠️👀
Many people think that the window needs new stays but it is usually something you can resolve yourself. If your windows don’t hold in the open position, try adjusting the friction levels by turning the screw on each slider. Only do a small turn at a time until you reach the desired level and be careful not to over tighten.
Job done 👍🏼🏚️🏡

TODAY’S SHUTTER INSTALLATION LOOKING FRESH & CLEAN 🏡
We fitted these full height hardwood shutters to a loft conversion, which was being used as a home office. The shutters give our client great flexibility with light control, being able to reduce glare on their computer screen and direct heat from the sun, while still allowing natural light and fresh air to flow 🌤️🪟
The recesses on these windows were really narrow, meaning we had to install these shutters right up to the window frame. Usually we allow enough clearance for the existing window handles, but in this instance we were able to replace the existing handles for these low profile handles which sit flush with the window frame. A great solution when installing shutters within smaller recesses 👍🏼

Starting the week off right with a beautiful view of Plymouth Sound 🌊
Living by the sea does have its downsides though, due to the salty sea air. It does a great job of speeding up the corrosion of locks, hinges, handles etc. 🏚️
This client was unable to lock their door and it was getting very stiff to use. A quick service, a few adjustments and we had the door working as good as new 🛠️🔑

WINTER’S JUST ROUND THE CORNER ❄️🥶
Now is the perfect time to look at getting your windows ready for the colder weather 🧭
Here’s a few ways WE CAN HELP 👍🏼

🪟 REPLACING AND UPGRADING YOUR GLASS FOR ENERGY SAVING GLASS
💦 Blown units that mist up inside or even just older glazing tends to be a lot less efficient compared to more modern energy saving glass.

🧰 WE CAN CARRY OUT A RANGE OF WINDOW REPAIRS TO GET THEM OPENING AND CLOSING PROPERLY.
💨 Faulty hinges/stays and locks can mean your windows don’t close properly and cause heat to escape and unwanted draughts.

🏡 Not only do they add style, but shutters act as excellent insulators in the colder months as well, helping to block out the cold and keep your home warm.

TODAY’S BOX BAY SHUTTERS 🪟🏡✨
Another lovely install today and another happy customer 🙌🏼
This particular client was recommended to us as a result of some shutters we installed at the end of last year. They liked what we did there and wanted something similar in their home.
It’s safe to say that these shutters really do add style to the house, both inside and out.
