Another exciting milestone reached at Redhouse Care Home 🏡

The flat roof is now complete, the tile-hung walls are taking shape, and the lift has been successfully installed. With the project progressing well, we’re almost ready for the scaffolding to come down and reveal the building’s exterior.

It’s great to see this project coming together, and we can’t wait to share the next stage of progress.

Planning Permission Myth💡

Did you know? Not every home extension requires planning permission.

Many single-storey rear extensions, loft conversions and other home improvements can fall under Permitted Development Rights, depending on the size of the proposal, the type of property and whether those rights are still in place.

That doesn’t necessarily mean you can start building straight away. Building Regulations approval may still be required, and some properties - such as listed buildings, flats or homes in conservation areas - are subject to different rules.

The best first step is to seek professional advice before making plans. A quick conversation at the beginning of a project can save time, money and unnecessary delays further down the line.
