You may know us for home extensions, barn conversions and renovations. We’re now bringing that same experience to schools and academy trusts across Plymouth, the South Hams and up to Exeter.

Westhill Project Update 🏡

Things are moving along nicely at Westhill, with another stage of the build now complete.

The windows are all installed, the roof coverings are on, and inside has been fully plastered and is ready for the internal fit-out to begin.

It’s great to see the house starting to come together, with plenty more to come over the next few weeks.

It’s often the parts of a build you’ll never see that make the biggest difference.

Insulation does far more than keep a building warm. When it’s installed correctly and taped properly, it helps create an airtight seal that reduces unwanted draughts, improves energy efficiency, and helps the building perform as it was designed to.

It’s one of those details that disappears behind the finished walls, but it plays a huge role in the comfort, efficiency, and longevity of a building. Quality construction is just as much about what’s hidden as what you see at the end.

Gratton Farm is coming together nicely. 👷

A big milestone has been reached, with the building now fully insulated and the roof complete.

Next up, we’ll be moving onto the external cladding before getting started on the internal fit-out. Another exciting stage of the build is now underway, with plenty more progress to come.

Proud of the team this week 👏

BASE Construction recently stripped out and installed a brand new kitchen for YMCA Plymouth - a charity that does incredible work supporting young people in our community every day.

Seeing the YMCA staff’s reaction when it was finished made every long day worth it.
