A little insight into what goes on over at Hobbs Home Interiors 👀

We work really closely together, particularly on renovations and extensions, bringing the design and build sides together from the beginning.

It means thinking beyond how a space will look — planning layouts, lighting, electrical positions, kitchens, bathrooms, joinery and finishes before we get to the point of needing those decisions on site.

🏡 Another extension transformation in Oreston, Plymstock!

We’ve given this existing space a complete makeover, replacing the polycarbonate roof and windows with a fully insulated new space, making it comfortable and usable all year round. 🔨✨

The new roof light brings in tonnes of natural light, creating a lovely bright space during the day — and when the sun goes down, it’s the perfect spot for a bit of stargazing! ⭐🌙

A great way to make more of the space at home and create somewhere the family can enjoy all year round.

Plymstock Extension — Progress Update 🏡

A full-width extension transforming the rear of this Plymstock property.

✅ Structure complete and fully out of the ground
✅ Roof on and rendering complete
✅ First-fix plumbing & electrics underway
✅ Internally boarded and ready for plastering

The new extension will create a spacious kitchen/diner, with a utility room and downstairs WC incorporated into the former kitchen space.

Finishing the project off will be a generous 3m x 8m deck, opening directly from the new sliding doors — creating a seamless connection between the kitchen/diner and the garden.

A sneak peek at our barn extension, which is now nearing completion!

The project is really starting to come together, with the underfloor heating currently being commissioned and the electrical works almost complete.

The final stage will be the installation of the external cladding, which will complete the building and give it its finished look.

We’re delighted to see the extension progressing so well and can’t wait to share the finished result with you!

A sneek peek at our barn extension, which is now nearing completion!

Another project completed

Here’s a look back at an extension we completed at the beginning of the year.

This project involved a kitchen extension, creating a much larger and more practical space for the home. As part of the works, we carried out a structural knock-through to connect the new kitchen/dining space, utility room and a separate downstairs WC, giving the whole area a more open and functional layout.

A great transformation and another project we’re proud to have delivered. 🏡🔨

LABOURER / DRIVER WANTED

We are looking for a reliable Labourer/Driver to join our team.

Duties will include:

* Delivering materials to building sites
* Helping the lads with general labouring duties on site
* Loading and removing waste from sites
* Taking waste to the appropriate tip/recycling facility
* Keeping vehicles, tools and work areas clean and organised
* General assistance with day-to-day construction work

Requirements:

* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Reliable and punctual
* Physically fit and willing to work on site
* Good attitude and able to work as part of a team
* Previous construction/labouring experience preferred
* CSCS card preferred
