Loft conversion completed in Plymstock 🏡

A look back at this loft conversion we completed earlier this year — turning an unused roof space into a brilliant new bedroom.

The new space includes plenty of natural light from the roof windows, built-in storage to make the most of the eaves, and a new staircase connecting it seamlessly with the rest of the home.

LABOURER / DRIVER WANTED

We are looking for a reliable Labourer/Driver to join our team.

Duties will include:

* Delivering materials to building sites
* Helping the lads with general labouring duties on site
* Loading and removing waste from sites
* Taking waste to the appropriate tip/recycling facility
* Keeping vehicles, tools and work areas clean and organised
* General assistance with day-to-day construction work

Requirements:

* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Reliable and punctual
* Physically fit and willing to work on site
* Good attitude and able to work as part of a team
* Previous construction/labouring experience preferred
* CSCS card preferred

A proud day for Team HHB 🏅

Andy completed the Plymouth Half Marathon today, while Henry took on the Schools
Challenge — both bringing home their medals!

Lots of determination, training and effort from them both, and we’re incredibly proud 👏

Barn Build Update 🔨

Solid progress being made on site. The valley linking the two buildings has now been fully decked, prepped and ready for its GRP finish.

Inside, the Douglas fir feature trusses are now in place, with the tension rods set to be powder coated and installed—these will really make the barn stand out. First fix plumbing is complete, and 150mm floor insulation is down, laying the groundwork for a warm and efficient space. Up top, the roof is felted and battened, ready for slating and PV panels.

Next up: underfloor heating and screed.

Everything moving forward nicely—bringing this barn build together step by step

Barn Build Update 🔨

The valley linking the two buildings has now been fully decked, prepped and ready for its GRP finish.

Porch Extension

This timber frame porch extension adds both character and practicality to the front of the home. The new composite front door, complete with glazed panels, keeps the space feeling bright and welcoming throughout the day.

Externally, the finish is completed with durable fibre cement wall cladding for a clean, modern look. Inside, the space has been fully plastered and skimmed, spotlights and an electric heater, then finished with stunning herringbone oak flooring for a warm, high-end feel.

Barn build progress 🙌

Roof is cut in and looking sharp. We’ve got the structure sarked out with OSB and the timber frame fully wrapped — things are really starting to take shape now.

Next up: felt and batten the roof and counter batten the walls… getting everything prepped and ready for some beautiful cedar cladding 🔥
