Wooden it be nice Devon

So this is I think my first video edit in the shop. I’ve tried before but I definitely over think things. I’m trying g to keep things simple.
This is 2026 after all. It’s not enough to be a business owner, maker, marketer, distributor, accountant. Apparently videographer, editor and on screen personality are part of it too 😂 Any way here’s what I got up to yesterday. I can only get better at this video thing (and this woodwork thing!! 😂)

It’s been a while since I’ve made one of these, but it was great to get back to my roots.
This is where it all started for me and Wooden It Be Nice.
Our benches are made from structural-grade timber, stainless steel bolts and heavy-duty 6mm screws. It’s a tried-and-tested design that I’ve been building for years.
I can now confidently say that our benches last around 10 years. They could last even longer if painted and properly maintained.
At £300 for a bench that can give you around 10 years of use, I reckon that’s pretty good value.
Simple, solid and built to last. 👌

Innocent little pencil holders. Well… big pencil holders!! 😂 like all my hand made products they are made from local sourced materials. These are made from elm. I also have some made from my oak and yew. I will be putting a web site together soon. I will, I will, I will!! But until then if you are interested in any of my products it’s best to get in touch with me here or through my instagram page https://www.instagram.com/woodenitbenice_devon?utm_source=qr

The arch top gate frame that I made and fitted this week. Not an easy one this. But it fits just right. Made from our own Douglas fir for its great exterior performance.
