Four new apprentices. And a first for MEC!
This year, we're proud to have welcomed four new apprentices to the MEC team - three electrical and one mechanical.
Three have joined us as first-year apprentices, taking their first steps into the industry, while our fourth joins us as a third-year apprentice, choosing to move to MEC to gain experience across a broader and more varied range of work.
This year also marks an important milestone for us, as we welcome our first-ever Mechanical Apprentice. As our mechanical capability continues to grow, we felt it was important that we continue developing our own talent for the future.
MEC’s Apprentice Mentor Lee Livingston welcomed our latest starters and commented “Apprenticeships have always been an important part of what we do at MEC. We want our apprentices to gain genuine hands-on experience, working alongside great tradespeople and engineers across the diverse range of projects we deliver. We’re genuinely excited to be working with Ronnie, Alex, Jacob and Tommy as they grow and become an integral part of our team.”
Director Brendon Houghton added “Taking on four apprentices this year is another demonstration of our investment in the future of both our business, and the wider industry. We look forward to continuing our work with Focus Training and City College Plymouth to ensure all our apprentices receive the best possible level of training”.
Welcome to the team!
