Treviglas School, Newquay

We’re making strong progress on our latest project at Treviglas School, delivering a number of packages across the site.

The stud partitioning and plastering works are now complete, with 40 fire doors installed within the first two weeks as part of a wider programme of 81 fire doors.

All fire doors are being installed and signed off by District, under the BM TRADA Installation Scheme, with decorating works also being carried out as part of our package.

A strong start from the team, with plenty more progress to come as we move through the project.

Salcombe | Cedar Cladding

A look at some of the Cedar cladding works we’ve recently completed on the rear elevation of this £8m build in Salcombe.

The team have installed Cedar cladding across five separate areas of the rear elevation, with the works now complete.

We’ll be returning at a later date to carry out the same works to the front elevation.

More photos to follow once the scaffolding comes down and the finished elevations can be seen in full.

Proud to share a little more about who we are at District Carpentry & Building

Founded in October 2022, what started as a vision has quickly grown into a trusted team delivering both domestic and commercial projects across the industry.

Between myself and Tom, we bring over 24 years of combined experience in carpentry and construction, supported by a reliable team of employees and subcontractors — some with over 20 years of experience themselves.

From building works, first fix and second fix carpentry to bespoke works and Fire door installation and maintenance under Bm Trada.

We take pride in delivering projects to a high standard.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported us since the beginning- clients, contractors, suppliers and the team behind the scenes. We’re excited to see what the future holds.

Exeter Job Centre project ✔️

1,150m² of Rockfon grid ceiling installed, including a full strip-out of the existing ceiling.

The works were delivered over 5 weekends, with long hours to ensure the building was ready to reopen every Monday.

A fantastic team effort as always, delivering a high quality finish!

And just like that, the Christmas break is over!

We’d like to take a moment to thank all of our existing and new clients for the year we’ve just had. With it being our best year to date, we truly couldn’t have done it without your continued support.

As we enter the new year feeling well-rested and motivated, we’re excited to tackle new goals and make this year even better.

Happy New Year from everyone at District Carpentry & Building Ltd 🎉
