🚨 BRICKLAYER WANTED – START MONDAY! 🧱

Optimise Construction LTD is looking for an experienced, reliable and hardworking bricklayer to join the team! 👊🏼

⚒️ Must-haves:
✅ Competent in brickwork, blockwork and stonework
✅ Able to set out jobs accurately and read drawings
✅ Capable of working independently and maintaining a high standard of workmanship
✅ Own transport and reliable
✅ Good work ethic, punctuality and a professional attitude

🕗 8-hour working days
📅 Start date: Monday
📍 Work mainly across Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

⚠️ NO CHANCERS, PLEASE! We need someone who knows their trade, takes pride in their work and can get stuck in without being babysat.

🏗️ Another project underway! 👷‍♂️

We’ve recently started this extension for Elite Carpentry & Building SW Ltd 🔨

PHP Groundworks SW LTD had already completed the concrete before we arrived, and we’ll be returning once the oversite is complete and the drainage has been moved to continue with the next stage. 💪

Another great project to be part of, and we’re looking forward to seeing this one progress! 🧱🔥

Chimney Rebuild Completed 🧱

A small job completed for South West Fires & Flues 🔥

The chimney had failed and required a full rebuild to ensure it was safe and fit for purpose.

We reused the original granite chimney top, installed new flaunching around the pots and rebuilt both chambers. One of the chambers included a flue liner, which we surrounded with LECA.

Another job completed to a high standard, as always! 💪

Another completed project. ⚫️🟠

Here’s a job we’ve had booked in since last year, and we finally got the chance to complete it during the summer holidays! 🧱🚧

It definitely wasn’t without its challenges along the way, but the end result made every setback worthwhile. 💪🏼

Our aim was to create a space for the children that was practical, safe, low-maintenance and, most importantly, actually usable. 👧🏼👦🏼🌱

We also introduced a new green space, which in my opinion really makes the whole project stand out. 🌿 The area has gone from looking tired and underused to feeling fresh, vibrant and full of life. 🙌🏼

We also:
🔸 Created a more accessible entrance
🔸 Installed a brushed-concrete ramp
🔸 Built 9-inch rendered walls
🔸 Added decorative railings
🔸 Created a finished space with a real WOW factor! 🤩

A massive thank you to Sunbeams Nursery and Pre School for trusting me, allowing me to run with my ideas and giving us the opportunity to create such a lovely space for the children. ❤️

And a big thank you to everyone who helped bring the project together:

APEX Render specialists — for the hard work and fantastic results. They put in a huge 12-hour day to get everything ready for us to return on the Monday. 💪🏼

BS Floors — for supplying and fitting the artificial grass. Another great effort, completed in no time at all! 👌🏼

Mark Parker's Welding and Fabrication — for taking what already looked great and transforming it into something truly spectacular. 👏🏼

Another project completed, another space transformed, and another job we’re incredibly proud of. 🧱💪🏼

👷‍♂️ MEET THE TEAM 👷‍♂️

Bit of a different post from us today, but we thought it was about time we introduced you all to the people behind the graft at Optimise Construction. 🧱💪

Without these guys putting the hard work in day in, day out, none of what we do would be possible. So here’s the team that keeps things moving! 👇

🔨 First up — Darren
One of our bricklayers and the most experienced man on the tools. A cracking bricklayer, a massive asset to the team… and someone who apparently loves Vegas more than his Mrs! 🎰😂

🧱 Secondly — Charlie
Another one of our bricklayers and one of our newest recruits. He’s fitted in brilliantly and is already proving himself as a great addition to the team. 🦃 🦷

👷🏽‍♂️ Third — Tyler
Our apprentice. He’s certainly got a gob on him 😂 but underneath all that, he’s got a great attitude and a massive future ahead of him. A great asset to have on board and we’re looking forward to seeing him progress. 💪🧱

💪 Fourth — Ronnie
Our labourer and another proper grafter. He’ll put his hand to pretty much anything you put in front of him and just gets stuck in. 👌🔥

👑 Last but not least — Mark, the boss man!
The one who organises the jobs, deals with the customers, prices the work, keeps everyone busy… and occasionally gets to pick up a trowel! 😂🧱🧢

We’re proud of the team we’re building at Optimise Construction and the effort these lads put in every day.

Another job complete ⚫️🟠

These steps were definitely in need of an upgrade, so we gave this entrance a massive transformation! 💪🏼🔨

We’ve taken a tired and dated entrance and turned it into something cleaner, smarter and far more welcoming. 👌🏼

The new paving has completely lifted the area, creating a much more modern, practical and inviting entrance while still keeping it in keeping with the property. 🏡✨

Another job completed by the team at Optimise Construction LTD — taking something that needed some TLC and turning it into an entrance the customers can be proud of! 💪🏼

🌟 TRANSFORMATION IN ST AUSTELL! 🌟

Another job we’ve been proud to be involved with, this time down in St Austell for First Choice Carpentry on a Cornwall council project. 🧱🔨

The original site had 9 slabs and a set of steps running through the middle of the garden. We’ve completely transformed the space, adding around 30m² of new patio to create a much more practical and enjoyable garden for a family who really needed the extra space. 🏡✨

Seeing the little lad’s face when it was all finished honestly made this job worth every bit of effort. ❤️

Jobs like this really mean something. Creating a seriously positive impact on a family’s day-to-day life goes far beyond your average job, and it’s one of the reasons we love what we do. 💪❤️

We’re looking for a competent, experienced bricklayer to join the team on a full-time basis. 🧱👷‍♂️

⏰ Working hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm
📍 Plenty of work in the pipeline with the potential for long-term work.

We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Can read drawings & set out
✅ Works to a high standard
✅ Has good experience
✅ Has their own transport & basic tools
✅ Is punctual and reliable
✅ Isn’t afraid to get stuck in 💪
✅ Can produce a high standard of work while getting plenty done

Mixer and brick cutter supplied by us, but you must have the basics.
