PROJECT UPDATE | DORKING HALLS

Another quality installation completed by the Skyline team!

Following the successful completion of approximately 500m² of flat roof refurbishment works at Dorking Halls, using the Axter Ltd | B Corp™ certified Excel torch-on felt system, we were asked to carry out the installation of new lead dormers as a late addition to the project.

Our team stripped back the existing roof tiles and hips to allow for the installation of new structural steelwork by others, before reinstating the existing tiles, re-bedding the original hips and installing the new lead dormers, complete with all associated lead flashings and weathering details.

A great example of our team's ability to deliver both flat and pitched roofing works, including traditional leadwork, as part of a single refurbishment project.

Project Secured – Phase 5 at Latymer School

We are delighted to have secured Phase 5 of the pitched and flat roofing refurbishment works at Latymer School.

Being selected once again as the school's trusted roofing partner means a great deal to us, and we're proud to be returning for the fifth consecutive year. Building long term relationships through consistent quality, reliability and workmanship is something we take great pride in.

This phase includes refurbishment works to the Great Hall, one of the school's original 17th-century buildings. Working on a historic structure requires careful planning and attention to detail to preserve its character while improving its long term performance.

Our scope of works includes:

• Full scaffold access.
• Strip of the existing pitched roof coverings.
• Thermal upgrade.
• Installation of new plain clay tiles.
• New leadwork, fascias and rainwater goods.

Alongside the pitched roofing works, we have also been awarded a further section of the annual flat roof refurbishment programme, which includes:

• Thermal upgrade.
• Installation of the Polyroof Protec Evolve
waterproofing system
• New pyramid skylights.
