⚠️ Gas Safety Week: Know the signs of carbon monoxide poisoning ⚠️

At Hart & Co. Plumbing and Heating Ltd., we want to help keep you and your family safe.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is known as the “silent killer” because you can’t see it, smell it or taste it.

Symptoms can include:

🤕 Headaches 😵 Dizziness 🤢 Nausea or vomiting 😴 Tiredness or weakness 🧠 Confusion 😮‍💨 Shortness of breath
Symptoms that improve when you leave the property, or several people becoming unwell in the same home, can be warning signs. Don’t ignore them.

🏠 Fit a carbon monoxide alarm and test it regularly according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

🔥 Have gas appliances checked and serviced by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

🚨 SUSPECT CARBON MONOXIDE?

• Get everyone outside into fresh air. • Stop using the suspected appliance if safe to do so — don’t delay leaving. • Don’t re-enter until advised it’s safe. • Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 for suspected CO from gas appliances. • Call NHS 111 if you think you have symptoms of CO poisoning, even if you feel better outside. • Call 999 for severe symptoms, including difficulty breathing, sudden confusion or collapse.
