What a week it has been working alongside First 4 Eco install solar all over Scotland, from sunny Inverness all the way to Stranraer.

Wonderful piece of equipment allowing you to save money or make money, giving you the option to provide your own electricity or to sell back to the grid. Most of the jobs this week saw us install a 4.8kw inverter and a 5 kw battery. Allowing customers to take in solar and UV energy and store it on a battery or us it for the house supply. Using very little or nothing from the grid.

With the current climate and the daylight robbery of electricity prices solar is definitely the way to go. Saving up £800 a year to which could increase to £1200 a year with the the prices due to rise again.

Been away working in Pitlochry at the stunning Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa and what a job it’s been, with opening day for the new spa fast approaching it’s fair to say it’s looking amazing. Can’t wait to get down there for a weekend stay to appreciate the views and enjoyment without the work 😂

To supply and fit new smoke alarms £100 per point

To supply and fit new heat alarm £100 per point

To supply and fit replacement smoke alarm £50 per point

So for example:

A house with upstairs and down stair with living room and kitchen, with existing hardwired smokes in hallway you would be £300

There is different ways to connect alarms via rf signal or by hardwired

Pros for battery alarms:

Easy to install
No decorations required

Cons:

Relying on just the battery
Interference from other radio alarms

Pros for hardwired:

Connected to power 24-7

Cons:

Depending on lay out of house possible decorations required
