This reconstruction project in York started with a bonfire.

Years without maintenance had left this tennis court beyond repair, so the decision was made to rebuild it from the ground up.

We removed years’ worth of debris before installing new foundations and a new porous macadam base. We then overlaid this with our advanced artificial grass surface, Savanna.

We also installed a rebound panel, cricket nets and recessed football goals, making this a space for multiple sports. Discreet obelisk fencing and gravel pathways around the edge of the court complete the installation.

The result is a total transformation and a space that can be enjoyed by the whole family once again. 🎾

We thoroughly enjoyed building this bespoke pickleball court for a family in Ascot, having previously built their tennis court.

As keen pickleball players, they wanted a dedicated court tailored precisely to their needs.

One of the bespoke features was the soft netting fencing. As the family frequently travels, they wanted a solution that could be easily removed when they were away.

The surface was another important consideration. They needed a cushioned court to provide increased comfort and help reduce stress on joints, whilst also performing well.

We proposed a PKK (Porous Kushion Kourt) cushioned acrylic surface, which provides excellent impact absorption and exceptional drainage, with rainwater draining away quickly from the court.

The PKK system was installed over a porous macadam base, providing the solid foundations needed for a high-performing, long-lasting court.

The result: a bespoke pickleball court, designed around the family, their playing needs and the way they use their court.

A tennis court resurfacing transformation, captured in the autumn sun. 🎾

This court had reached the point where more than a refresh was needed. The surface was tired, the fencing and nets were showing their age, and the court edgings needed replacing.

We carried out a full resurfacing project, including laying a new tarmac base, replacing the court edgings for added stability, and installing new nets and fencing.

The result is a tennis court that not only looks incredible again, but is built to perform for many more years to come.

A fantastic transformation for Aldbourne Tennis Club in Wiltshire. 🎾

The club had two existing macadam hard courts that were due for resurfacing. We strengthened the existing court edgings before resurfacing both courts with our advanced artificial grass surface, Savanna.

The move from hard courts to Savanna was chosen with player comfort in mind, as well as being a surface that’s increasingly popular with players.

Artificial clay had also been considered as an option. While clay is a surface many players enjoy, it does require more maintenance than an artificial grass surface such as Savanna.

The resurfacing itself was relatively straightforward. The real challenge was getting materials to the courts.

With extremely restricted access, very narrow lanes and no lorry access, we needed to find a practical solution. Working with a local farmer, who's also a club member, we were able to use his land and yard to store materials before transporting them to site in our smaller vans.

A logistical challenge, but one that was well worth solving and we’re sure these newly resurfaced courts will be a huge hit with club members. 🎾

What a transformation for this family’s tennis court in Stamford, Lincolnshire. 🎾

Having worked with this client before, building a tennis court at their previous home, it was a pleasure to be invited back to transform the court at their new property.

The existing tennis court had become tired, so the aim was to bring it back to its former beauty while creating a surface that not only looks fantastic but will perform for years to come.

The resurfacing project included repairs to the existing surface, a new porous macadam base, laying our advanced Savanna artificial grass surface and bespoke, discreet obelisk fencing.

August has been a busy month for the team, with a range of court projects completed across England.

From new tennis court builds and a pickleball court build to resurfacing existing courts and bringing them back to their former beauty, we've worked across a real mix of projects this month.

Our civil engineering and court construction experience has helped us navigate everything from logistical challenges to more complex site and build requirements, and it’s been a pleasure to put that experience to work for both new clients and those who have trusted us with projects before.

Tucked away in Wimbledon Village, this bespoke tennis court was designed and built to complement its surroundings while delivering exceptional performance.

Every detail was carefully considered, from the advanced Savanna playing surface to its seamless integration within the surrounding gardens.

The project required careful planning within a constrained site, alongside the protection of existing tree roots. Beneath the foundations, specialist geocell systems were installed to preserve roots whilst enabling effective drainage.

This tennis court balances timeless design with lasting performance. A space where craftsmanship, performance and thoughtful design come together.

The summer solstice may have just passed, but less daylight doesn’t have to mean less time on court.

Lighting can be added to all types of courts, not just MUGAs, extending play well into the evening as the nights gradually draw in. The lighting we use is designed to provide clear, even illumination, without being harsh or blinding for players, it keeps the game comfortable and uninterrupted.

From premium lighting to perfect playing surfaces, we design and construct sports courts tailored for year-round, uninterrupted play.
