Poetry Rocks!

#PoetryRocks is Young Writers’ way to celebrate National Poetry Day 2018.

Staff and their families have been painting and drawing on rocks, which are inspired by poems. On the back of each rock the poem’s title is included along with these hashtags: #poetryrocks #youngwriters #NPD18

The rocks will be posted on social media on the run up to National Poetry Day on 4th October 2018, along with the poem that inspired the work. The rocks will randomly included with parcels and letters Young Writers send to schools around this time and some will be hidden locally in Peterborough.

The idea behind this is that someone will find a poetry rock and read the poem that has inspired the artwork. They can then keep the rock or re-hide it - spreading happiness as well as our love of poetry.
