Good shutters are about more than the finished view.

They’re about having the right advice, a made-to-measure product and a fitting service you can rely on.

As a local, family-run business, we’re here from the first conversation through to professional fitting : with a friendly, straightforward service and no hard sell.

Privacy without losing daylight : it’s possible.

For a front room, bathroom or overlooked window, top-down/bottom-up shades offer a more considered solution than covering the whole window.

The lower section can be closed to protect privacy, while the shade stays open above to let natural light into the room. You can also adjust the position throughout the day, depending on the changing light and sightlines outside.

The best configuration depends on the window, the room and how much privacy is needed. Sill height, neighbouring properties and the direction of the light all make a difference.

It’s a simple way to keep a room feeling bright, comfortable and private : particularly in homes across Ely, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire and the Fens.

If you’re unsure what would work best, we’re happy to bring samples and offer advice as part of a free home survey.

Soft daylight, gently filtered.

This modern living room shows the quieter side of made-to-measure cellular shades. Their clean finish sits neatly within the window, while the textured fabric diffuses the light without losing the bright, open feel of the room.

The top-down/bottom-up design adds another layer of flexibility : privacy where it’s needed, daylight where you want it, and a clear view when the shades are fully raised.

A fresh alternative to plantation shutters, particularly in rooms where a softer finish and filtered light are part of the design. We’ll bring samples, talk through the options and measure everything properly before you decide.

For living rooms across Cambridgeshire, Ely, Cambridge and Peterborough, get in touch for friendly, no-obligation advice.

As the evenings draw in across Cambridgeshire, window coverings start to play a bigger role in comfort and warmth.

Made-to-measure shutters provide an additional layer at the window and can increase window insulation by roughly 40% : helping rooms retain more warmth and potentially reducing the work your heating needs to do.

It’s a practical consideration for homes in Ely, Cambridge and Peterborough, as well as for schools, hotels, care homes and offices looking to create more comfortable spaces for the people using them.

Finished with a 15-year warranty and professionally fitted to each window, shutters bring together insulation, privacy and precise light control in one considered solution.

If you’re preparing a property for the colder months, we offer a free technical survey with no obligation. Our Calendly link is available for consultations.

When daylight hits a screen, the answer isn’t always to close the blinds completely.

Adjustable-louvre shutters let you fine-tune the light throughout the day : softening bright direct sunlight, maintaining privacy and keeping the room feeling naturally bright. A small change in the louvre angle can make a home office or study feel calmer and more comfortable for focused work.

They’re a considered choice for work-from-home spaces across Ely, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough : made to measure for the window, then professionally fitted.

If your study needs better control of glare, privacy and natural light, we’d be happy to talk through the options. No pressure, just practical advice and samples brought to your home.

The bi-fold panels give the room flexibility : open them back for a brighter, more open feel, or close the louvres for privacy and considered light control throughout the day.

A calm, practical finishing touch that sits comfortably with the room’s existing character.

For bay windows across Ely, Cambridge, Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, we offer friendly advice, detailed measuring and professional fitting, with no obligation.
