Today, on World Day of Social Justice, the United Nations calls on us to reflect on the barriers that prevent people from living with dignity, fairness, and equal opportunity.
Social justice isn't an abstract ideal - it's a lived experience. In the architectural profession, it shapes who gets to study, who gets to practise, and who gets to thrive. Economic hardship, discrimination, disability, or personal crisis can sideline talented people at any stage of their career, and too often those challenges go unseen.
At ABS, we believe that a fair profession is one where every member of the architectural community has access to support when they need it most - whatever their background or circumstances. From financial assistance to mental health and wellbeing support, we're here for the people who shape our built environment.
Justice begins with showing up for one another. If you or someone you know in the architectural community is struggling, reach out to us.
