Apologies to all our clients, I've ruptured my achilles, so I'm personally out of action for a little while, so I'm afraid we're going to be even slower for a while. Massive thank you for all the good wishes we've already had, your saintly patience is massively appreciated. New cast yesterday, so we have started to look for an automatic car/van so that we can get out to site asap. We will be using the time to train up a couple of new hedgers, so if you know anyone really keen to have a go, please get in contact! As always a stack load of projects to get on with...Achilles was not a hedging injury I hasten to add!
The piggery we were working on before the current boundary revetment/hedge was like working with pic-a-sticks, quite a delicate process, but exposing some of the original cobbled surface, repairing with a new buttress, lime slurry and pointing has been a satisfying if somewhat painstaking process as we worked in 6" space behind the shed! The Piggery walls are now all wrapped up...little bit of finishing, roofing/guttering to re-instate once the wraps come off... Huge thanks to Alan, Hazel and his lovely neighbours at Glenview who have been incredibly patient and complementary re our somewhat glacial progress!! Could not think of more lovely folk to work with. Very much looking forward to putting the new team together to get back out there!
