The brief doesn’t always arrive as a perfectly formed list of colours, materials and finishes.

Sometimes it’s more like:

“Something neutral.”

“But with colour.”

“Quite calm.”

“But not boring.”

“Simple.”

“But with a bit of wow.”

And actually, that’s often where the interesting design starts.

Because our job isn’t just to design a room, it’s to work out what you mean when you describe how you want it to feel.

Just occasionally, that requires a warm-up first.

This young man needed a little more independence within the family home.

Although he had a generous bedroom, sharing bathroom facilities and access had become difficult. The room also had a lot of built-in storage and cabinetry that was no longer really needed.

Working closely with our client on behalf of her son, we looked at how we could make better use of what was already there without taking too much from the bedroom.

By utilising the depth of the existing cupboards, we were able to create a practical ensuite tucked neatly into the room.

A generous walk-in shower, matt black fixtures and warm walnut tones give the space a masculine feel, while keeping it comfortable and inviting.

Most importantly, it gives him something that good design should always provide, privacy, independence and a space that works around the user. Many thanks to rush_construction

Some days you don’t need a solution.

You’ve spent all day being responsible at work, then you get home to the kids on summer holidays and realise you just need five minutes to yourself.

At Zeal, we believe a bathroom should be more than just a shower.

It’s a place to reset. A place to recharge. A place to escape.

And when you finally break, you probably won’t say anything.

There will just be signs.

Turns out getting older isn’t about wild nights out…
it’s about good coffee, fewer people, earlier bedtimes and getting weirdly excited about beautiful design.

These days I get excited about clever storage, timeless materials, perfectly considered details and helping people create spaces they genuinely love living in.

We put it there to do one thing… get noticed.

Not another boring advert. Not another forgettable sign. Something a little different.

Then someone took the EASY decision to give it a new location.

And honestly? That only proved the point.

Good marketing gets noticed.
Great marketing gets people talking.

The bike moved.
The conversation didn’t.

Testing government guidance so you don’t have to.

With temperatures soaring, official advice suggests applying cool water to exposed skin.

Naturally, we interpreted that through the lens of a luxury bathroom showroom.

For clarity, this is our Geberit display shower toilet connected to a clean water supply. No employees were harmed, traumatised or sprayed with anything other than fresh mains water during filming.

Seriously now, shower toilets are becoming increasingly popular in the UK for their comfort, hygiene and reduced reliance on toilet paper.

Although we can’t officially recommend using one as a heatwave survival device.

Homes are personal, so advice naturally comes from everywhere. The skill is knowing what to take forward, what to refine, and what to leave behind. The challenge is turning all of those views into one clear, cohesive design that actually works in practice.

That’s where experience, technical understanding, and a bit of restraint matter from a professional studio.
