🚗 One car in, one car out… not anymore!
Our customer in Rhiwbina originally had a long, narrow driveway, which meant constantly moving one car to get the other one out. We completely redesigned the frontage to create proper side-by-side parking and make much better use of the available space.
We widened and rebuilt the driveway, completely reworked the levels to improve the drainage, and created a decorative entrance step finished with lovely charcoal Key Kerbs.
We also levelled the remaining garden, brought in fresh topsoil and reseeded the lawn. Once the new grass comes through over the next couple of months, the whole frontage is going to look even better.
The driveway was finished entirely in Country Cobble, including the edging. It remains our most popular block-paving choice, and it’s easy to see why. Its rustic, tumbled appearance looks particularly good alongside Cardiff’s traditional red-brick homes. It’s hard-wearing, easy to clean and doesn’t show everyday marks and wear as easily as a smooth modern block.
For anyone who prefers a more traditional finish over resin or tarmac, Country Cobble is a brilliant choice that only seems to gain character with age.
Our customer is absolutely chuffed with the finished result, and so are we. Another lovely transformation completed in Rhiwbina. 🧱
