🌾🚜 Harvest Season Adventures 🌾🚜

Did you catch a glimpse of the unbelievable sight this week? A massive combine harvester driving through our beloved campsite! 🏕️ It's a once-in-a-year spectacle that we are lucky enough to witness! 🍃✨

As the fields nearby burst with crops, the hum of the harvester echoes through the air, reminding us of the incredible harvest season. 🌾🌽 There's something truly mesmerizing about witnessing this enormous machine in action, effortlessly collecting the fruits of our hard work. 🌾💪

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year break! We are fully back into the swing of work with 4 orders already having been completed in the first week of 2023!

A pleasure to be able to work with the South Devon Railway team this winter to help with track improvements! 🚂

We are excited to be reopening for daily steam train services from this Saturday (26th March), following the completion of a major programme of track renewal undertaken during the winter.

The railway has just completed major trackwork renewals which have centred on the lifting of half a mile of life-expired track on the ‘Royal Mile’, just north of Totnes Riverside station, and its replacement with new ballast, sleepers and rail, which will improve the quality of the ride for passengers.

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Plant Operators to join our compost production and green waste recycling site in Marldon, South Devon.

We’re looking for candidates with experience operating a Telehandler and experience with a 360 Material Handler is a bonus. The successful candidate will need to be, reliable, flexible and conscientious with a can-do attitude, as well as punctual and trustworthy. The candidate must be able to work and think on their own, while also being able to work with others in a safe manner. A valid CPCS/NPOR would be an advantage but experience in operating a Telehandler is essential.

The successful Candidates will be expected to operate mobile plant effectively, follow our Health and Safety procedures and have a good attitude to Environmental aspects.

Main Duties and responsibilities:
🌱 The safe operation of mobile plant, particularly Telehandlers.
🌱 Undertake daily checks and basic maintenance.
🌱 Keeping the machine clean and tidy.
🌱 Defect Reporting
🌱 Complying with Site rules, H&S regulations and following safe systems of work.
🌱 Keeping the working area safe, clear and tidy as practicably possible.
🌱 Booking in customers using our system, inspecting their loads and picking any contamination.

This is a permanent position and hours of work are 08:00 – 18:00 Mon-Fri and 08:00 - 13:00 Sat with a competitive rate of pay and immediate start.

Part time hours would also be considered.

What a year it’s been! As we gear up for another year, we would like to thank all our customers, staff, suppliers and friends who have helped us this year. It would not be possible without you.

Soooo... the rumours are true 👀 A brand new 6215r has joined our fleet! Ryan is very very pleased with it and looking forward to spending many hours in it this summer🤘A pleasure to be purchasing another premium product with premium support from Masons Kings

Tractors are flying out of our yards this week!

Here’s our agricultural sales rep Rich handing over this impressive new Ultimate spec John Deere 6215R tractor to Ryan Berlyn at our Chudleigh depot.

This fully connected tractor is fitted with a StarFire 6000 receiver which provides access to John Deere’s precision farming solutions. Our FarmSight team are working with Ryan and his team to get this fully set up and data transferred from the existing fleet.

Ryan and his team at D J and GB Berlyn of Wildwoods Contractors s are based in South Devon and already have an impressive John Deere line up of tractors, a combine harvester, mower and balers. They also run Rolland spreaders to supply and spread PSA100 specification compost, AMAZONE sprayer and a Amazone combination drill which is all supplied and support by Masons Kings 😀

All this machinery allows them to offer a variety of agricultural contracting services which we are proud to support.
