In Brixham this morning, where my customer was experiencing damp issues throughout the home due to no mechanical ventilation or windows in the bathroom, and condensation from bath and shower use was settling on walls throughout the property.

Extractor fan fitted and core drilled to the outside of the building. The fan will stay on after the lighting is turned off in the bathroom for some time, to allow any condensation to have adequate time to leave.

We are proud to now offer an optional annual service package for all of our EV Charge Point installations.

At a cost of £45 annually (direct debit), around the 12 month installation date Distinction Electrical will visit to check all test parameters/cable conditions are healthy, and ensure that your chargers software is up to date and matching your tariffs which can often change, affecting your pocket.

This can be discussed during any quotation from September.

OHME Home Pro 3 installed in Paignton this morning.
OHME chargers are one of a handful I recommend for the following reasons.

⚡ 💰 Allow for off peak tariff coordination - meaning a cost effective charge.

📱 User friendly app - which allows for remote locking of the charger to prevent neighbours plugging in their vehicles.

⏰ 3 year manufacturers warranty as standard.

🔌 Choice of 3/5/10m cables to accommodate any parking position or driveway length.

Another happy customer.

This week Distinction Electrical completed the 2921-34 EV installation course and related examination in Bristol.

Until now, EV charger installers have not required this specific qualification however from October 2026 it is essential that it is held for working compliance, and the simple ability to sign off an EV installation and notify local building control and the National Grid.
