✅️ Silicone render previously completed by me!
✨️For a recent project, I was brought in to resolve ongoing leaks around a set of windowsills and precast concrete mouldings that had been allowing water ingress into the property. The issue had led to visible damp patches and early signs of surface deterioration internally, making it important to implement a long-lasting and reliable solution.
After a full inspection, I identified the main problem areas around joints, cracks, and previously failed sealant lines. The surfaces were thoroughly prepared by removing all loose material, debris, and any degraded sealant to ensure a clean and stable base for repair.
To address the leaks, Gacopatch was applied across all vulnerable points. Its thick, flexible consistency allowed it to be worked deep into gaps and cracks, forming a strong, waterproof seal. The product is particularly effective in these applications due to its ability to accommodate slight movement without cracking, which is essential for external features like windowsills and mouldings that are exposed to changing weather conditions.
Once the Gacopatch had been applied and allowed to cure properly, the area was finished with a coating of white silicone paint (S4222). This provided an additional protective layer, enhancing the waterproofing while also improving the overall appearance of the windowsills with a clean, uniform finish. The silicone coating also offers excellent weather resistance and UV stability, helping to prolong the lifespan of the repair.
The completed work successfully eliminated the leaks and restored the integrity of the windowsills and mouldings. The combination of Gacopatch and the S4222 silicone finish ensures a durable, flexible, and long-term solution, protecting the property from further water ingress and environmental wear.
