Your garden. In good hands. 🌿

Hi, Adam here from AJS Gardening & Landscaping. We're taking enquiries across Torbay and South Devon for:

• Regular garden care, lawns and hedge work
• One-off tidy-ups and garden clearances
• Decking, fencing and garden makeovers

These photos show our own work. From a garden that needs a helping hand to a bigger outdoor project, we'd be happy to chat.

Send us a message or WhatsApp with a few photos, your postcode and what you'd like done for a free, no-obligation quote.

Own or look after a holiday let in Torbay or South Devon? We have availability for outdoor jobs this autumn and winter.

AJS Gardening is a local two-person team for garden clearances and tidy-ups, hedge work, fencing and decking repairs or new decking, pressure washing, and exterior painting. We can plan around guest changeovers where practical, provide clear quotes, and send before/after photos for owners who live away.

We are insured for our work and hold upper-tier waste carrier registration CBDU637846 for clearance jobs.

If you run your own holiday cottage or Airbnb—or handle changeovers and need a dependable outdoor-work contact—message this Page or call Adam on 07311 264035.

From a worn-out deck to this 200 m² pool surround in South Devon.

We stripped out the old decking, rebuilt the framework and fitted new timber boards, steps and a pergola. Sound boards from the old deck were reused as screening around the finished space.

If you’re planning a new deck—or replacing one that’s past its best—AJS Gardening has availability for decking projects across Torbay and South Devon. Message this Page with a couple of photos, or call Adam on 07311 264035 for a free visit and written quote.

HOSEPIPE BAN starts Saturday

South West Water have brought in a hosepipe ban for the whole of Devon and Cornwall from 00:01 on Saturday 8th August. Unlike the last one, Torbay is included this time, so it affects all of us in Paignton and the surrounding area.

What you can't do with a hosepipe: water the garden, wash the car, fill a pool or hot tub, clean the patio, driveway, walls or windows. It covers sprinklers, irrigation systems and pressure washers too.

A few useful exceptions:

Watering cans are completely unrestricted, and so is anything from a water butt or rainwater store
Trees, hedges and saplings planted this season can still be watered by hose where a can isn't practical
Turf laid in the last 28 days is fine, as are newly bought plants for their first 14 days
Drip or trickle irrigation with a pressure reducing valve is still allowed
Topping up a pond to keep fish healthy is allowed

If you've had planting or turf done with us recently, get in touch and we'll talk you through keeping it alive through this. Fines go up to £1,000, so worth knowing where you stand.

Stick a water butt on the downpipe if you haven't already. Best £30 you'll spend this summer.

We've been very busy on one of our most ambitious projects yet, replacing and extending a huge 180m² decking. I can't wait to see it completed, we have fencing, olive trees and a pagola to add yet.
