Following last night’s meeting, it was evident that many Beach Hut owners in Preston are in a precarious position and it was clear that each and every hut owner is affected in their own individual way by the construction of the new sea defence wall.

As a small family-run local business, we, like many other businesses will be impacted by the construction period. But we are fortunate that right now we can offer our services and skills to all hut owners, which may help us weather this period of instability. We are not trying to capitalise on the situation, so we are offering our help at reduced rates, which we will communicate in the coming days.

This brief note aims to inform you of how we can assist and the solutions we are implementing to help-

-We can move flat-pack huts to your house for you to store them. We are already taking bookings for this service.

-We can store huts for the 18 month period.

-We can also offer our services to repair huts. We have made space in our work schedule to do this at short notice, ensuring huts are ready for storage in the Quay West car park. We can also work on huts once they are moved into Quay west.

-For those unsure about what to do with their current hut, we are offering a 10% discount off the price of a new beach hut to all BHug members in Preston for any order placed this year. The new huts will be ready for April 2027.

-We are working on a fixed-price list for a few standard repairs, which will be offered at a reduced rate to Preston Sands hut owners to help them meet the council’s standards for storage.

-We are actively seeking additional storage space to provide solutions for those without a place to store their hut contents. We will message on the Bhug page once we have more information.

So sad to see such a huge amount of damage caused by the storms to peoples beloved huts.

We don’t ever do discounts as we always ensure that are prices are as low as possible, but we will give anyone who has lost their hut in the storm 10% off the price of a new hut.

This isn’t us as a business trying to capitalise on others misfortune, we are genuinely gutted for those who’ve had their lovely hut destroyed, as hutters ourselves, we know how much they mean to everyone. We decided to put out this post as we are getting so many enquiries and calls and thought that it would help to put some info out in one place.

We have spaces for DRY winter storage for Beach Huts that come apart. (Flat pack) email [email protected] for info.

If your hut needs some TLC we can take care of that over the winter too - everyone who stores with us is eligible for 10% discount on the cost off all winter maintenance.
