Something a little different.

Small paved area for a little cottage garden.

We came up with the idea after finding all the different bricks, tiles, blocks and other similar pieces recovered within the garden previously and reclaimed them for good use.

Jointed with sharp sand and 6-10m shingle.

Children’s play ship for younger kids.

Finished for now (few little added extras like ships wheel, Canons etc) to come at a later date.
•
This was a challenging build as it was designed fully on CAD and was full of hundreds of Compound Angles, nothing square or flat whilst working with a material that was.
•
Nethertheless a very enjoyable and interesting / rewarding build and different from the norm.
•
The kids will love this on Monday morning no doubt.

Green and Stone Landscapes is looking for some temporary labouring help on occasional days mid Sept and early October.

I need somebody willing and hard working, but no experience needed.

The job would entail the help of spraying off new growth and w**d from a recently taken down large wild flower meadow over in Oxford.

The Pay would be £8 - £12.50 per hour dependant on age and experience.

There may also be some work with turf care, and a few other maintenance bits on site during and after if keen and show promise.

Typical jobs would include;
▪ w**dspraying meadow at 2 week intervals
▪ watering where / if necessary
▪ Possible help on other general maintenance jobs such as Tree Guying, tree protection, strimming, dead heading.
▪ Sowing of seed in meadow ready for the new year of growth.
▪ Lawn care to turf paths.

First date likely to be between 9-13th September. (Very weather dependant for the spray off for it to work).

Sorry it’s not all one batch of work but there needs to be periods of time between most of the aspects of the job.

A good candidate who is looking to pick up more future work and could prove themselves great asset to the team could open the doors to some interesting future projects upcoming.

All safety equipment and tools / machinery provided but you will need suitable outdoor clothing and shoes/boots for all weathers.

All candidates must be enthusiastic and willing.

Outdoor Room?
Continuing the paving and planter garden devision theme... Last year we completed this paved patio area for returning client .cool.one
Brief; Create a lovely relaxing al fresco spot in this garden sun trap, for late evening dining and daytime relaxing.
Paving is replica old Cotsworld flags laid in traditional courses, beds made from a rare American dense & hard red wood (ipe) and topped with lovely Hidcote Lavender, for great sent and colour palette. Olive trees either side sun lounger. •

Paving is now down at now it needs edging with the raised beds and planting to soften.

Will be a lovely place to sit in the sun and waste some peaceful time!

Throwback to 2014 and project managing the landscaping and planting of over 26,000 herbaceous perennials for landscape architects PU&H and working closely with the genius & renowned Dutch plantsman Piet Oudolf.

Resulting a stunning 1.5 acre field of 17 raised contoured planting beds of his matrix style planting. With a stunning hidden cloister garden and restaurant it makes a great place to visit.

These photos were taken right at the end of the build, now living over 100 miles away really must make a trip to see it very well established like a lot of images online.
